HOUSE CLUB PROPOSAL

CLUB NAME: RECITER’S HUB

Good day, everyone! I would like to introduce myself. I am Patrick M. Molao, and
I am the founder of this club, which is the RECITER’S HUB.

CLUB TITLE INTRODUCTION:

The Reciter's Hub is a nonprofit organization founded in February 2022 to
promote ways for individuals to gain resources that allow them to shine when
others fail. Through impromptu speeches, this club reinforces all parts of
successful public speaking: quick thinking, sound arguments, clever word choice,
and engaged delivery. It also serves a function that extends beyond the club and
into our school community, namely, to foster an oral or spontaneous style of
delivery by increasing the accessibility of speech presentations among students.
Over the years, I have seen across presenters that lack confidence in their
delivery as well as important presentations that leave an effect on the audience.
In admission to membership, or participation in its programs, events, or
activities, the Reciter's hub does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,
national origin, handicap, gender, or age.

FOUNDER: PATRICK M. MOLAO

ELEMENTS OF THE LOGO SELECTED:

As you can see at the center of our logo, there is a lion. Symbolically speaking,
lions, as one might imagine, primarily deals with strength. The lion bears a
message of prudence to us. In other words, the lion asks us to not overdo in
certain areas of our lives. Rather, keep an even mind and an overall balance in
our life activities.
STATING HOUSE VMG:
House Vision: Our house vision is to examine the different purposes for
speaking, organizing ideas, prepare and deliver various speeches; and to develop
self-confidence.
House Mission: The club’s mission is to provide opportunities for students to
evaluate speeches given by others and to explore the use of the voice and body
in speaking situations.
House Goals:  The goal of this club is to guide participants into making a
stirring, memorable speech that will have the audience jumping out of their
seats.
HOUSE RULES:
Let’s proceed with the house rules. It is important for members to;
 Practice tolerance and celebrate diversity – wherein everyone is welcome
and accepted!
 Embody positive attitudes and allow no negativity!
 Exemplify trustworthiness, respect, and care.
 Always try your best; and
 Have fun!
RIGHTS OF CLUB MEMBERS:
The members of the Club shall exercise their rights, powers and duties and shall, where
appropriate, use their best endeavours to ensure that others uphold integrity.

Let me present to you the (5) REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR
CLUB:

First, this club will help you discover more about yourself.

Second, your communication skills will be developed.

Third, you will develop soft skills.
Then, you will get networking opportunities; and lastly

It will serve as your productive breaks.

INSTRUCTING HOW THE PLANNED ACTIVITY:

It’s quite common to see a speaker experiencing nervousness when asked to
speak instantly. Effective impromptu speaking is a skill that can be learnt through
practice and training. The activity ‘Just a minute of speech or JAMS’ is an
impromptu speech where the speaker is supposed to express the ideas on the
given topic, within the duration of a minute. Participants must analyze, assimilate
ideas, analyze the audience needs, use proverbs, jokes and anecdotes to retain
the audience’s interest, and quote examples from their self experiences.
PERFORMING THE INDOOR ACTIVITY:
YOUR WORD IS HAPPINESS.

Everyone is looking for happiness in life. Of course, it’s not always full of

happy moments and you have to be ready for it. There are a lot of ways you can
live a very happy life. Problems will come and you will have to face them with
courage. Along with that, you will have to find ways to solve them.
CLOSING MESSAGE:

Don't let the word "impromptu" scare you. I invite every student of all levels, as
well as to those interested to join and participate in our club events. Bring your
heart, open minds, and act out the club’s activities. Ask any of our club
members, and they will say the support and camaraderie along the way is as
important as the results and successes.
