Boy: Hey Daiz, you remember that mum was talking about putting videos up on her
blog?
Girl: Yeah
Boy:blog yeah well she's got the first one
up it looks pretty cool.
Girl: oh, right.. Where is she at the moment? Peru, isn't it I?
Boy: I think she's in Bolivia, now but the videos from yesterday. when she was on the
Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca.
Girl: Okay, let’s have a look.

Mom:
Hi, everyone. today I'm visiting the floating uros islands on lake titicaca.
The people who lived here have had the same kind of lifestyle for hundreds of
years.
The amazing thing about these islands is that they are man-made and made out of
plants.
The Islanders pick the tall reeds that grow at the sides of the lake and use them to
make the islands.
Every three months they have to put down new reeds. If they didn't the islands
would sink into the lake! oh, yeah, and as I said, the islands float, so they have to be
anchored to the bottom of the lake with rope, like a boat.

Girl: Hey it's really good!

Mom: the islands are kind of bouncy to walk on but they're pretty strong. The uros
people make fires, which they use for cooking.
Okay, there's a house made of reeds, but that grey, thing which you can see on the
roof there, isn't very traditional. That's a solar panel-technology gets to every
corner of the world nowadays.

Boy: hmm it's a bit like a geography lesson but it's interesting.
Girl: yeah I think it's great.
Boy: Okay, let's write a nice comment and like.

Muchacho: Oye Daiz, ¿recuerdas que mamá estaba hablando de poner videos en
su blog?
Muchacha: ¡si!
Muchacho: Bueno, ella ya subió su primer vídeo, se ve bastante bien.
Muchacha: oh, cierto.. ¿Dónde está ella en este momento? Perú, ¿no?
Muchacho: Creo que está en Bolivia ahora, pero los videos de ayer, cuando estaba
en el lado peruano del lago Titicaca.
Muchacha: Está bien, echemos un vistazo.

Mamá:
Hola a todos. Hoy estoy visitando las islas flotantes de los uros en el lago Titicaca.
Las personas que vivieron aquí han tenido el mismo estilo de vida durante cientos
de años.
Lo asombroso de estas islas es que están hechas por el hombre y hechas de
plantas.
Los isleños recogen los juncos altos que crecen a los lados del lago y los usan para
hacer las islas.
Cada tres meses tienen que poner cañas nuevas. ¡Si no lo hicieran, las islas se
hundirían en el lago!
Ah, sí, y como dije, las islas flotan, entonces hay que anclarlas al fondo del lago con
una cuerda, como un bote.

Muchacha: ¡Oye, eso está muy bueno!

Mamá: las islas dan un poco de rebote para caminar, pero son bastante fuertes.
Los uros hacen fogatas, que utilizan para cocinar.
Está bien, hay una casa hecha de juncos, pero esa cosa gris que puedes ver en el
techo no es muy tradicional. Esa es una tecnología de paneles solares que llega a
todos los rincones del mundo hoy en día.

Muchacho: hmm, es un poco como una lección de geografía, pero es interesante.

Muchacha: sí, creo que es genial.
Muchacho: Bien, escribamos un lindo comentario y darle un me gusta.
