Since the election campaign period began this year, around March 2022, names of every
candidate became controversial and debatable. Numerous of issue was exposed to each candidate
with the influence of different platforms of social media. People are crashing around on the
internet trying to protect their candidates and posting context related to election. Even the
celebrities and known persona in our country were sharing and using their influence to campaign
their bet. Darryl Yap, a Filipino film director of Vincentiments, not also sharing his side, but also
making content that leads to negative campaigning. He is supporting Bongbong Marcos and the
whole UniTeam, and was really averse to the other team and candidates especially Leni Robredo.
When the election was over, and Bongbong Marcos was elected to be the President, a lot of
people are opposed to the results. Not only for the president, but also for the result of vice

Palace before they were forced to flee to Hawaii during the People Power Revolution in 1986. It
was directed and written by Darryl Yap himself and was produced by Viva Films. Known artists
played the role of the Marcos Family; Cesar Montano as Bongbong Marcos Jr., Cristine Reyes as
Imee Marcos, Diego Loyzaga as Bongbong Marcos III, Ella Cruz as Irene Marcos, and Ruffa
Guttierez as Imelda Marcos, the wife and the first lady of the 10th president at the time. This film
wag tagged as the "Most controversial film of the year 2022" and met a lot of dissension from
public and historian for the reason that this film was alleged to distort what really happened in
Marcos regime and People's Power Revolution took place in 1986. Movie and Television
Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) defended the film from criticism stating that this
movie by Yap was actually a dramatization of what happened that era, and not a documentary
film. "We also note that the said motion picture is a dramatization of the last seventy-two hours
of the Marcos family in the Palace in 1986 and does not purport to be a documentary" said by
MTRCB Chairperson Diorella Maria Sotto-Antonio. The team who made the movie also
initiated that this film was just to highlight the Marcos' perspective without negating the fact.
They intend to highlight the life of family seventy-two (72) hours before they leave the
Malacañang. The film was also reviewed and gave it Parental Guidance (PG) rating, which only
means that the film or motion picture may contain themes that require parental guidance and
supervision for viewers. "While the PG rating serves to guide viewers, and was assigned by the
Board based on its own judgment applying contemporary Filipino cultural values as standard,
parents are encouraged to conduct their own assessment and use their best judgment to guide
The MTRCB’s statement came after San Carlos Bishop Gerardo Alminaza called on the
agency to “act responsibly on this and perform its mandated duty,” as the prelate criticized what
he branded as the film’s “shameless” attempt to distort history in favor of the Marcoses.
Alminaza was among several individuals and organizations who condemned the film after a scen
