HRDM REPORT

1. Goodmorning everyone, i am trisha dela cruz and we are going to continue the discussion in regards
to the job analysis and design. specifically, we are going to distinguish the diff between job description
and. job specification.

2. read job description

explanation : meaning, since it involve task, duties and responsibilities, it also details who perform a
specific type of work, how that work is to be completed, and also the frequency, and the purpose of the
work as it relates to the org mission and goals.

example: we are recruiting to fill teh position specifically the hr manager, so ung job description po ni hr
manager ay dapat with people management skills, also have the ability to carry out duties or
responsibilities where in he/she can promote the employee welfare and ofc the company's growth.

kung mapapansin po natin sa example, nabanggit po dun ung people management skills, also have the
ability to carry out duties or responsibilities where in he/she can promote the employee welfare and ofc
the company's growth. so ito po ung example ng job description.

3. so meron po tayong key elements of job desacription

- task

- duty

- responsibility

4. task read

explanation - so ung task po, ito po ung mga ginagawa natin sa bahay or sa workplace on a daily basis.
kasi diba po sa work may mga daily task po tayo na ginagawa.

example: like for ex po way back in ,my internship in mandaluyong, i was invlove po in hr dept
specifically in recruitment. so one of the task there is to review and screen the cv of the applicants from
diff job hiring and recruiting platform such as jobstreet, workbank and indeed.

example: another task na ginagwa ko daily ay ung pag aadmin po ng examination for our applicants from
engr position, technician and office staff position.

5. duty read

exaplanation - in management po, the word duty is used to define the task or function kung saan ito po
ung dapat iperform ni employee as it is part of his or her job. so oblige po si employee na gawin ung task
na binigay ni company as it is also part of your job desc.

example po: diba nabanggit ko po kanina unfg mga task na ginagawa ko way back in my internship, isa
po dun ung pag aadmin ng exam and pagrreview po ng mga cv ng mga applicants. yung mga task po na
yon ay papasok po siya kay duty as it is an obligatory task. so i have the duty to complete those task na
binigay ni supervisor within the day.
6. responsibility read

explanation - when an employeeor manager is responsible for a task, you can hold them accountable in
case na hindi nila maperform g maayos ung task na binigay sa kanila like mababa po ung quality nung
output. so dito po kay responsibility papasok ung pagiging acocuntable mo as an employee on how you
will perform your task.

7. specification read

explanation - meaning, JS list the qualities taht the employee should or must have in order to qualify for
the job.

example - the educational qualification, traiing and experiences in a specific job.

8. we also have the key elements of job specification namely, knowledge, skills aND ABILITY.

9. read knowledge

explanation - it is what we have learned thru education and work experience

example - in building and construction, you will require knowledge about the materials, the methods,
and the tools involved in the construction and repair of houses, building and other structures like ung
highways and roads.

kasi po diba if we are going to perform a specific job, dapat meron po tayong alam or background or
experience about that certain job.

10. skills read

11. so we have two kinds of skills which are technical skills and soft skills

so lets first discuss what is technical skills -

read technical skills

explantion - so ito po ung mga skills na natutunanan nattin from our past work expriences, sa school or
sa training. you can improve your skills with practice, education and training.

examples po - pagbuild ng cabinet, pag operate ng equipment, selling your product to ur costumer or
what are the strategies ma kailanagn on how u are going to sell ur product to your costumers.

soft skills - the second one is the soft skills

read soft skills def.

examples of soft skills include the ability to communicate with prospective client, mentoring your co
workers, leading a team, negotiatinmg a contract and get a job on time.

12. lastly is the ability -

read ability def.


exaplanation - so ung bawat org po kailangan po nilang i identify ung mga key abilities ng kanilang mga
employees thaty will lead them to success. and ofc the employee need to have a certain ability that will
make them a valuable addition to an org.

13. in conclu, if we are going to comapre the two, the description focuses more on-the job specifics
while the job specification focuses on the person filling the position. That means you'll see things such as
a general description of the job, specific duties, environment and location in the job description. On the
other hand, in the job specification, you'll see things such as educational requirements, training,
technical skills, experience and a personality trait that the company desires for the person that will going
to fill the role.
