2. Menu

2.1 Connect – Starts communication according to the setting condition

2.2 Disconnect - Terminates communication connection

2.3 Settings – Settings required for communication connection.


2.3.1 TYPE

1) Serial – To use serial communication

2) TCP/IP - For TCP/IP communication

2.3.2 PROTOCOL

1) Conotec – To use products that can communicate with the headquarters, except the
Modbus communication method.

2) Modbus – Choose this function if using products that use the Modbus communication.

2.3.3 Comport - Displays a list of available Comport. Select the Comport you wish to use.
2.3.4 BaudRate – Set communication speeds. The Baudrate set value of the device you
purchased must be identical for communication.

2.3.5 DNS – Enter the site address you wish to connect to.

2.3.6 IP – Enter the IP address of a site you wish to connect to.

2.3.7 Port – Enter the port of the site you wish to connect to.

2.3.8 Data Storage Interval (sec) - Set the data recording interval.

2.3.9 Data storage location – Set the file creation location of the recorded data
Change by double clicking.

2.3.10 Daily creation time – Set the time in which the same day measurement value data is
created as a file. (The same day data after the set time is not included in the file.)

2.3.11 Server function operation – Tick this function to use the smartphone application (conet).
Tick off when not in use.

2.3.12 Server IP – Displays the IP of the user computer. It does not require modification or entry
by the user.

2.3.13 Server Port – Any values between 0 - 65535 can be used, but numbers over 1,000 are
recommended. It should match the port forwarding/port numbering of a router to be
released.

2.3.14 User ID – Set an ID to use in the smartphone application (conet).

2.3.15 User Password – Set a password to use in the smartphone application (conet).

2.4 Add – Add and register devices

2.4.1 Name – Enter a name for a new device.

2.4.2 Product model - Check and select the same model of the device to be added.

2.4.3 Station number - Select the same as the Addr set value of the device to be added.

2.5 Information – Program information.


3. Log Docking Window

3.1 Search device – Displays a list of registered devices. Select only the device for which you want to
view the recorded data or select all devices.

3.2 Search period - Select the search period of recorded data

3.3 Search – Search by selected criteria

3.4 Save Excel - Save the searched result in an Excel file. If the Excel program is not installed on the
computer, the file will be saved in a txt document. (There should be search results to be saved.)

3.5 Log delete – Record data can accumulate and take up a lot of space in the computer. If data from
the past is not necessary, search and delete the data. Due to the limitation of data storage, the latest
data may not be stored when the limit is reached. Delete old data. (Data including the same day
log will not be deleted.)
4. Chart Docking Window

4.1 The temperature colors of the device shown in the chart and the screen border color showing
current measurement value are the same. (Devices that display temperature and humidity are
shown based on the color of temperature)

4.2 You can relocate the chart up/down/left/right by clicking the right mouse button.

4.3 Move the mouse wheel up/down on the chart to make the measurement interval smaller or larger.

4.4 A scroll bar appears when you hover the mouse to the left and the bottom of the square border of
the chart. It is a convenient function when you have to move a lot to relocate the chart with the
mouse.
5. Set Value Docking Window

5.1 Clicking the screen where the current measurement value displays the set value item in the set
value docking window.

5.2 Devices that only measure temperature show temperature tab only and devices that measure
temperature/humidity show temperature tab and humidity tab.

5.3 Pressing the set value reading button reads the set value of devices.

5.4 Pressing the set value change button after changing the set value changes the set value of devices.

6. Device Delete
6.1 To delete a device, right-click in the current set value screen and a delete menu appears. (When a
device is deleted, log data is also deleted.)

7. Server Settings

1.1 Check to use the server function. Check when using the smartphone application (conet). Disable
the check when not in use.

1.2 The IP of the server automatically becomes the IP of the current computer. It does not request
user's modification or input.
1.3 The server port must match the port number set in the router. Any values between 0 - 65535 can
be used but numbers over 1,000 are recommended.

1.4 Create a user ID and password. This is used to connect in the smartphone application (conet).

8. How to Set the Router

(The setting instruction will be explained based on IPTIME Q604 model. The name or location of
menu for each model and router manufacturers may vary.)

1. Create a server address to connect to.

1.1. This setting is not a required.

1.2. Move to Advanced Settings  Special Function  DDNS Setting Menu.

1.3. Add a host name. Enter the information according to the router description.

1.4. After adding, check if the connection status is 'normal registration'.

1.5. A host name is necessary when connecting via the smartphone application (conet).

2. Create a server port number.

2.1. Go to Advanced Settings  NAT/Router Management  Port Forward Setting Menu.

2.2. For internal IP address, enter the IP address of the computer where the server program will
operate.

2.3. Enter the external port and internal port. The external port is the port number required to
connect to the smartphone application (conet). The external port and the internal port can be
the same.

2.4. Port numbers can be any values between 0 - 65535 but numbers over 1,000 are recommended.
Specify the same number as the port number set on the computer communication program.

2.5. Click add to add to the list.


9. Smartphone Application (conet)

1. Download and install conet application from the Google Store.

2. Enter the server address

2.1. The server address can be either an external IP address in the system summary information of
the router or a DDNS address if you set up the DDNS.
3. Enter a port number

3.1. The port number should be the same as the set value of the computer communication program
and the router port forward set value.
4. Enter ID and Password

4.1. ID and Password should be the value set in the computer communication program.

5. Controller list

5.1. If the connection is successful, the controller list and current measurement value will be
displayed.
6. View and change set value

6.1. Touching the desired device in the list will display the set value list and the set value after a
while.

6.2. In the set value list, touch the set value you want to change. A window to change the set value
will be displayed.

6.3. Enter the set value and touch the green check button. You will see the set value changed after
a while.
10. Others

10.1 Clicking the pin shape in the log, chart, set value docking window enables automatic fixing and
hiding. If the pin shape is facing down, it means fixed, otherwise, it is auto-hidden.

10.2 The three docking windows, while being fixed, can be moved to the desired location, moved out
of the program or resized.

10.3 On a computer running Windows Vista or a later version, run the program as an administrator.

10.4 The data will be saved as a text file if Excel is not installed on the computer.

10.5 When saving Excel and text files, files are divided into eight items and saved in one file.
