Write a draft of your speech about seeing the silver lining amidst the pandemic.

To say 2020 has been tough would be a massive understatement. It feels like it’s been one crisis
after another, and we’re all mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted. Year 2020 will be
remembered as the most challenging period in our history. But we’re a resilient bunch and we’re always
on the hunt for that good news. So, we reached out to some of our friends and colleagues, leaders who
span various industries, with a simple question about seeing the silver lining amidst the pandemic.

COVID-19 has presented an unprecedented challenge to human welfare. Indeed, we have

witnessed people experiencing a rise of depression, acute stress disorder, and worsening levels of
subclinical psychological distress. Finding ways to support individuals' mental health has been particularly
difficult during this pandemic. An opportunity for intervention to protect individuals' health & well-being
is to identify the existing sources of consolation and hope that have helped people persevere through the
early days of the pandemic. Everyone in this world and everyone of us deserve to find their true happiness.
Today, our world mental health day I am ready I’m to dedicate I’m ready to advocate and listen to you for
those struggling mental illnesses because if we work together, we can achieve a true happiness to the
world that we can proudly say this is “The real me”.

COVID-19 pandemic has brought despair, destruction, and death. Today, our world war has
changed from armed conflicts to war on hunger, for better healthcare system, racism, and education. It’s
an everyday battle that confronts all of us, regardless of who we are and where we are from. As a student,
I have always lived up to my faith in humanity, cultural understanding, and respect for others. I will be a
channel of hope, compassion, and unity to help one another to fight this pandemic. As we face a COVID-
free world, join me as we work together in mending our conflicts and focusing on what truly matters. We
are living under one sky so let us all live peacefully where love is our language, humanity in our race, and
peace is our lasting legacy to the world. Remember you are heard and you matter.
