CASE ANALYSIS
PRESCRIBED FORMAT of the CASE REPORT/CASE PRESENTATION
(Note: The executive summary statement, no more than one page in length, must
clearly state what you recommend and the 1 or 2 most important reasons why. This
summary statement will become the first sheet of your report. Although it will be
presented as the first page of the written case analysis, this will have to be written
last, in order to be sure that it is as thorough and convincing as possible.)
(Note: It is crucial early on in the case report that you provide a sharply focused
diagnosis of key problem(s)---primary and secondary---and strategic issues of the
company/corporation.)
1 Often in the business world, busy managers will refuse to read reports that are not accompanied by such
summaries. Furthermore, the busiest managers may not even read anything but the summaries of reports.
Regardless of the culture, the summary, clearly, is important.
