CAUTION: LED activity is not an indicator of circuit integrity. LED activity is for reference
only. Refer to applicable service information for circuit diagnostic procedures. For
best results, use a high-quality, low-impedance, digital volt ohm meter.

Operating Instructions Terminal Side (TS) View
1. With the ignition switch in the OFF position, connect
the DLC Breakout Box to the vehicle DLC.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON position. Upon vehicle


power up, the tool will display battery voltage.
The tool will check each pin for power, ground,
and communication and will light or flash the
corresponding LED. 2 - Bus (+) PWM/VPW J1850
3 - MCAN
NOTE: Connecting CONSULT scan tool is not 4 - Chassis ground

DVOM Connection Example


Leads are included with the tool. One lead has a momentary closure switch. Always use the switched lead on the power circuit.
Note: If the tool is beeping, the vehicle voltage is below 11.6 volts or above 15.2 volts.
