Answer the following questions:

a. What is CARL METHOD?

- The CARL METHOD is about carefully understanding the

question, (ANTICIPATION) is to generate a possible answer
while covering the options in the question. If you have answered
in your mind, you can see the options, but don't jump to the

conclusion that the correct answer is what you were thinking.

This is where (REMOVAL) coming in; you will remove the
distractors because that is the easiest thing to do, and
(LEVERAGE) comes in; if the options are only two, you will
balance what is the correct answer. improving your critical
thinking and decision-making abilities, as well as teaching you
how to be objective rather than subjective or biased.

b. How can you use/apply this in taking major examinations

and to your future LET exam?

- As a future teacher, I will use this as a guide to improve my

critical thinking skills and to always understand/remember If I
have difficulties learning about our examination, I always watch
the video of CARL BALITA/CARL METHODS to help me choose
the correct answer during the examination. While taking the
examination, I always remember the methods that I saw in Carl
Balita's video, such as not being subjective or biased, and not
believing in your own opinion, but believing in the information
that I am answering.

c. What is the impact of CARL METHOD on you?

After watching the video, the first thing that struck me was how
much I related to what he said, such as "don't believe in your
opinion but believe in the information that I am answering" and
"don't be biased, be objective." Because previously, when I was
answering multiple questions, I always added my own opinion to
the question, which is not a bad thing, but we need to know
when we will include our opinion in the multiple choice that's
what I learned in the CARL METHOD, and finally, read and
understand the question carefully analyze the question and read
it twice if you don't understand the question the first time you
read it.

d. How can you implement the CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE

inside the classroom as a future teacher using the CARL
METHOD?

CARL METHOD so they can able understand what I’m saying
and lastly by giving different activities that can enhance their
critical thinking skills

2. Read “The Impact of Culture on Education” Huib Wursten & Carel

Jacobs, what are your realizations in the education system of other
countries? What are the different learnings can you give based on
the top performing countries in the education system? How thus
their culture affects the quality of education in their particular
country?

- My realization in other countries’ education systems is that it depends

on how teachers interact with their students, such as the formality of
speech when talking to them inside the classroom, and it also depends
on what cultures practice in those countries, such as the US, which has
more individuals who speak in general by her teachers, whereas South
Korea has more Collectivists who only speak up in small groups.
Culture influences the quality of education in a country. For example, in
the United Kingdom, the culture is more masculine, which is the
foundation for success and achievement, whereas feminine cultures
are consensus-seeking, caring for others, and having a good quality of
life. The sympathy is for the winners. And affects how they behave in
school like if you are in a masculine country the student’s failure is very
challenging for the students because it serves them their image that’s
why they are conscious and their image.
