Foundational Readiness Day
Purpose. The purpose of this checklist is to provide a basis for the documentation and paperwork
required to conduct certain actions while deployed. This list is by no means exhaustive. However, should
a situation or emergency arise while you are deployed, having the below information and documentation
available will empower your family to act if they are able unable to communicate with you. It is highly
recommended you set your loved ones up for success by providing them copies of these documents.
Instructions. Leaders will verify that every Soldier has compiled the documents below in hard copy.
Leaders will review with their Soldiers, at a minimum, the documents highlighted in BOLD. Not all
documents will apply to each Soldier. Leaders will maintain this sheet in the Soldier’s Counseling Packet.
The service member will maintain hard copies of these documents.
