I think that one of the main themes of the story is the inequality of rich people over poor
people. This can be seen in one of the main characters Mr. Costas, who is the rich one having a
control over the poor characters Miguel and his mother.
Probably Mr. Costas feels he is a good man by providing a job and a place to live. But in my
opinion, he is an opportunist and a bossy person who enjoys having control over other people,
as if he is being better than the poor ones.
I consider this control in a bad way because it is an example of exploitation.
Concerning the maquila, it doesn't have a good working environment, as it is mentioned that it
is an ugly building and hot as hell.
At the end, it is seen as a symbol of hope in Miguel's life, after they have lost everything
because of water. This is because he found the t-shirt that he has stitched specially for him.
And then he knew that he would be all right.

Yes, I do. I consider myself as a multitasker person, I can do whatever is necessary, and also a
cultural fit because I can adapt to any type of environment.

I believe that I have a very good character, I easily interact with people and I always talk to

Yes, I do. I find it very easy to work effectively with other people usually I am accepted into a
team quickly.

Yes, I am. My motivation comes from within and pushes me to achieve for my own personal
reasons. I complete my task with no prodding because I want to learn and succeed in my work.

Yes, I am. I am flexible enough to get along well with other personalities and work styles.

No, I don’t. Although I don't think I am a leader I can participate in every activity.

I think working in a pleasant environment with sociable and kind people is a clear reason of

Yes, I think so. I believe that one way to motivate other people is by asking them for their
opinion and experience about a task and a job and so they could feel that they are good at
doing that. Or also a way to motivate others is supporting the ideas of your co-worker.

I dislike having a bad work environment with people are are not sociable and that don't help
