A Patch Installation
This chapter describes the patch installation process, including essential preparations and
precautions.
A.1 Precautions
This document describes how to use the U2000 to install patches. This document uses the
ATN 910C running V300R003C00SPC200 as an example. The installation procedures of
other device models and versions are the same.
Before loading the patch on an NE, verify that there are no current alarms on the NE. If there
are current alarms on the NE, handle the alarms first.
Step 2 On the NE View tab of the NE Data Backup/Restoration window, click Find.
Step 3 In the Find NE dialog box, select Resource Name or IP Address from the Find Mode drop-
down list. Then specify the resource name or IP address in the Find What text box and click
OK.
Step 4 On the NE View tab, select the desired ATN NE and click Update Version.
Step 5 Check the version number in the Version column. Ensure that the version number is
V300R003C00SPC200. In addition, check whether there is a patch version in the Patch
Version column.
----End
Step 2 In the NE Software Library Management window, click Import, to load the patch file into
the network management server.

Use Existing Version check box is selected, all versions that have been manually entered are
available in the Version drop-down list. Select the desired version from the drop-down list.
Then click OK.
If the patch is imported successfully, click OK in the Operation Result dialog box.
If the patch fails to be imported, try to import it again. If it fails to be imported twice, contact
Huawei technical support personnel.

target patch version directly. If you need to set a fixed time batch upgrade, you can check on
the Start Time, and settings. Then click Next.
