Work plays a great role in our life. It forms our personality, mind, feelings and
emotional state. If people opted for the work that they weren’t very keen on, they
would perform it without love. We should believe in yourself no matter how difficult
it is to reach your professional goal. If life gives you lemons, make them lemonade.
We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes when we are talking about
celebrities. On the one hand, they look happy and enthusiastic. On the other hand, it’s
blood, sweat and tears in order to be a musician or a dancer. Most Korean idols
believe that there is no pain no gain. It means that we should work hard to become
proficient in this or that sphere.
Mary lives in London but her motherhood is Kosovo, Yugoslavia. She has
always wanted to become a singer. Every morning she works as a shop assistant in the
local toy shop. it’s her boss who calls her as a stupid girl because of her attitude to
work. Mary can’t help thinking about her dream as a pop star. She has already failed
lots of auditions but she doesn’t give up. She believes that there is a light at the end of
the tunnel for her and she will be a well-known singer in the future. She needs more
practice in order to improve her musician skills that’s why she decides to sing at the
local street in London and help homeless people at the same time. Step by step she
develops her musician skills and earns much money for the homeless shelter. Even if
she performs as a street singer, she feels so happy and motivated.
Once she leaves the shop without locking it, its owner feels so miserable and
says that she should be more responsible and care much about work even if it is not
her cup of tea. This time Mary understands that she is wrong and she has made an
awful mistake. She would never forgive herself for being so frivolous. She decides to
apologize for everything that she has done and returns much money to the boss.
On the 12th of July, there is an audition for the part of Juliette in the theatrical
performance. She goes there and outshines everyone on the stage. She has never
imagined herself being an actress and acts on the stage. She has shown her inner
abilities of acting and dancing.
On the 13th of July, she comes back to her boss and tells her about her new
work. Kate hasn’t believed firstly, but later she congratulates Mary on her new role as
Juliette. Mary burns midnight oil to learn by heart Juliette’s words. She has lots of
rehearsals every day. It’s her colleagues who envy her because the grass is always
greener on the other side of the fence. Mary will be able to become a famous actress
in 3 years after lots of ups and downs of her life.
