ASSIGNMENT LEADERSHIP

Group Assignment (3 students per group)

1. Select a politician, manager or community leader to review. This person should be someone
that is respected and viewed as an effective and/or exemplary leader in an organization or
community. Students are required to register the chosen leader.

2. Look at the list of questions provided as a sample. Feel free to create your own questions.
Questions should be open-ended (require more than a one word answer) and relate to the
effective practice of leadership.

3. Write a report on what you have learned from your leadership study. The report should not be
a repeat of the question/answers asked in the interview/review, but an overview of what you
learned and how you can use this information to lead and manage effectively. Please include a
brief introduction (personal information and professional background) of your chosen leader in
the report.

4. The report must be between 15-20 pages in length, double spacing with complete references.

• What does leadership mean to you?
• What strengths do you believe you have as a leader? Weaknesses?
• What has been your greatest influence as a leader?
• Leaders make other people feel strong and confident. What do you do to help others feel this way?
• Do you feel it’s important to delegate? If so, why? When is a good time to delegate?
• What actions you believe are essential to enable others to be successful?
Individual Assignment (Journal article review)

1. Find an article from any journal that relate with leadership and management to review.

2. The journal must be published between the year of 2016-2021.

3. Please register the journal article before review either through email or learning zone or
Whatsapp.

4. The length of the review must be between 5-7 pages, double spacing.

5. Support your review with relevant references.

Individual Presentation/Participation

Students are required to choose any of the given topic below for presentation. Every student will
be given 15 minutes for a presentation session followed by 10-15 minutes for questions and
answers session. Presentation materials (slides, video, case study, etc.) is highly encourage and
will be evaluated as part of the presentation quality (content). Presentations will commence on
the 2nd class. There will be 4 presentations per class. Marks will be given based on quality of
the presentation and responses during the Q&A session.
