Enhanced BulSU College Freshman Admission Guidelines

I. Online Application
A. General Guidelines

1. Qualification of Applicants for Board Courses

Senior High School candidates for graduation/ Senior High School graduates from the
public and DepEd-recognized private high schools or senior high school graduates of
accredited secondary schools abroad;

2. Required Documents to be Submitted

Scanned copies of the requirements as you Accomplish Step 1 (Online Application to take
ATBulSU) and hard copies of the same to be submitted on or before the deadline to be set
by the Admissions and Orientation Services Office (AOSO).

2.1. A Certified True Copy (with school seal) of SF9 in Grade 11.
2.2. A Certified True Copy of Proof of Residency (Barangay
Certificate)
2.3. Certificate of belonging to the upper the upper percentage of
the graduating class (if applicable)

3. Optional documents to be submitted (whichever is applicable)


Certified True Copy of Membership Certification / Barangay-issued
Certificate / ID of the following if the applicant is a:
3.1. Member of an Indigenous Cultural Community (ICC) / Indigenous People
3.2. Member of Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps)
3.3. Student with Special Needs (SSN) and other types of disabilities.
3.4. Graduate of Alternative Learning System (ALS) (Accreditation &
Equivalency Assessment and Certification).

(Note: Only one (1) document from 3.1 to 3.4 is to be submitted)

3.5. Child of Solo Parent (Solo parent ID)


3.6. Student with Exemplary Artistic and Athletic Ability (certification from the
School Head)
4. Grade Requirements

4.1. For programs with Board / Licensure Examinations, an applicant must obtain a
General Weighted Average (GWA) of 90% or better in Grade 11;

4.2 The minimum grade requirement for each Grade 11 subject is 85% except for the
following conditions:
4.2.1 For Engineering, Architecture, and Accountancy programs and those
offered by the College of Science, the minimum grade for Math and Science subjects
is 90%.
4.2.2 For the Secondary Education program, the minimum grade is 90% in
their Major (i.e. Math in BSED Math, English in BSED English, and so on).
4.2.3 For Nursing and Psychology programs the minimum grade is 90% in
Science subjects.

4.3. For Non-board programs, the required General Weighted Average (GWA) is
85% or better in Grade 11.

4.4. For the College of Industrial Technology, there is no particular GWA, however
applicants coming from Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track, with a
relevant National Certificate (NCI, NC2) are preferred.

4.5 For the College of Sports, Exercise and Recreation, applicants coming from sports
track and/or an athlete participating in the provincial, regional, and national
competitions are given preference.

5. Program Options
5.1. 1 Choice Program. The applicant’s priority program is where he/she is most

interested in. If an applicant is not successful in his/her first choice program,


the process continues with consideration to the student’s second choice.

5.2. 2 Choice Program. The applicant may have a second choice based on the

available programs allied to the first choice.

6. Grounds for Disqualification of Application


5.1. Misrepresentation of the information entered in any of the submitted forms
(Including but not limited to the application portal)
5.2. Violation of the application instructions
5.3. Non-submission of documents as scheduled.

Note: Transferees, Shiftees, Returnee and Second-degree courser who attempt to


apply through Freshman Admission will be blacklisted in all BulSU programs.
7. Schedule of Application to be provided by the AOSO.

B. Procedures for Online Application

Online Application to take ATBulSU


1. Open the link that will be posted online by the AOSO on or before the set deadline to upload
the admission forms and requirements.
2. Accomplish the Admission forms and submit online together with the requirements.
3. Wait for the confirmation email. If qualified, you will be sent the ATBulSU Test Permit
bearing the date/ time/venue of the admission examination. Print this test permit.

II. On-Campus ATBulSU


Take the ATBulSU on the scheduled date/time/venue. Bring your ATBulSU Test Permit, valid
ID and pencil on the day of your examination.

III. Criteria for the Selection of Qualifiers

For the selection of qualifiers, the criteria (with corresponding requirements and
percent) shown in Table 1 must be followed. The approved Guidelines for Affirmative
Action Programs for Freshman Admission is considered as one of the bases.
