Job Interview Sample Questions
Why do you want to be a financial analyst?
I decided to major in finance in college because ever since I can remember, I have always had an
interest in business, how it works, and how it can generate profit. During my junior high school, I
knew I wanted to have a finance degree or at least a business ad degree.
What I enjoyed the most during classes is doing analysis, exploring numbers, and being able to
get something from them, which are conclusions. Because I enjoyed that most, I would like to
continue in that line of field and establish my experience through this company.
Why do you want to work for our company over others?
When I found out about the job opening, I want to apply to your company. As one of the users
of home credit Philippines, I know its mission in providing financing services to meet and
promote financial inclusion and I want to become part of that inclusive community.
What do you want to do after this job
I want to pursue a CFA certification, to widen my knowledge in financial analysis beyond my past
experiences and to be able to have more opportunities in the future.

My greatest strength is attention to detail which I believe is crucial for the position I am applying
for because a small change in number could change your analysis. That strength enables me to
be more efficient at work.
My weakness is having low self confidence, I am easily anxious or i worry easily, I tend to pass on
opportunities maybe it is because of my personality of being too reserved. But i am working on
it.
Working alone or with a team?
For me, I could adapt to both. I can work well alone especially because I could focus, but I also
believe that it is always better to work with a team. During the internship, I have always worked
with a team, with seniors, and co-interns. A company is an organization, and it works because of
the teams behind it.
Why did not you pursue a job in JP Morgan company?
I am thankful for the opportunity and learnings I acquired in that company during my internship,
but I believe I should explore more after graduation. When I saw the job opening on a site, I

books of the company, providing reports to immediate supervisor, providing financial data
support, reports, and analysis inside and outside the department, and creating compliance
reviews of various internal controls.
