I. RATIONALE:

The Department of Education is being forced to make considerable reforms as a result

of the global health crisis. Face-to-face learning has been hampered as a result, and the focus
has shifted to Modular Distance Learning, which falls under the New Normal Education.

To effectively address the different difficulties raised by the New Normal Education,
the department, along with its educators and school staff, undertook a variety of relevant
training programs customized to the current situation.

Trainings and webinars are critical in delivering high-quality education to students,

and they are important components of the department's overall goal of Sulong Edukalidad.

On the other hand, it is apparent that today's students’ study at different speeds and
have faced hurdles and battle cries in the new educational system. As a result, the interaction
between parents and teachers played an important role in the children's learning.

Furthermore, no one can deny that everyone confronts challenges, especially during
worldwide pandemics. As a result, various ideas, services, and programs were presented to
students and parents in order for them to continue to rise above all of the doubts and concerns
caused by the Covid19 pandemic.

In this regard, the proponent established the “Basic Goods Bag: A Barka Kontra
Droga Tulong Silingan Advocacy Project for Sulop National High School Students in the
Pandemic Phase”.  This is a method of sharing in which the proponent will distribute goods

such as rice, powder milk, canned goods and vitamin C tablets to students as part of their
Modular Distance Learning preparation. Apart from that, parents will be given hand sanitizer
as a token of their support for this unique learning environment.

This program is a manifestation that amidst global health crisis and all uncertainties
that the world had experienced, we continue to soar high and uplift each other by exercising
the spirit of sharing because support and participation grows by sharing.

VI. SOCIO-ECONOMIC JUSTIFICATION

Collaboration between teachers and parents is vital to the learners' learning growth.
Parents' support and role in their children's lives has been crucial, especially during times of
global pandemic. Teachers, together with parents, became agents of transformation and one
of the students' strongest support systems as the educational environment shifted to New
Normal Education.

The "Basic Goods Bag: A Barkada Kontra Droga Tulong Silingan Advocacy Project
for Sulop High School Students in the Pandemic Phase" became a vehicle and a ray of hope
for the students as they begin on another academic year full of eagerness and optimism. This
sharing initiative shows support by encouraging students to push themselves higher and
higher in order to overcome academic challenges they may face in the future.

With the involvement and strong partnership of parents and learners in the quest of
Normal Education, we can achieve success. It will help students become more prepared not
just in their studies but also in their entire lives, and it will develop a sense of collaboration
and support among parents. As we continue to prepare children for the vast world, these
things can be one of the key pillars of their development.

student and parent involvement and collaboration. As a result, it's crucial to note that this
newly established sharing program will be extended and sustained in order to ensure strong
