Direction. There is an “artist in each one of us”. Identify the “artistic inclination or talent that
you have, then write an essay about it. How did you discover it? What do you do in order to
develop your talent to the fullest. (30 pts)

My greatest talent is playing basketball. At the age of five, my father recognized in

me the ability in sports, which are now my special interest. He bought me a basketball
on my sixth birthday. Even though the ball was bigger than me at that time it became
one of my favorite toys to play around with. Basketball has brought great satisfaction,
happiness and a way to show my talents while also expressing who I am as a person. I
was able to join a small basketball league in my province at the age of twelve until I was
given the opportunity to become a varsity player and be a member of a team during my
junior high school year. It is awesome that I’ve received awards for playing basketball
and it feels great to be recognized by other people for doing what I love. Thank you to
my family members, coaches, and friends for always supporting in me. I believe that
basketball is a pure reflection of who I am. I’m proud of this skill because there are not
a lot of girls that can play basketball. This sport is meaningful to me because it helps my
communication skills and brings out my personality to come out my shell and be myself
around my team. To show this talent overtime I played basketball for my school and
learned new things.
