On International GIS Day, the UP Tacloban Regional Environmental Information
System (REIS) presented the GIS Talks 2022. Many plenary speakers and attendees were asked to share their enlightening wisdom and insights during the live event. One of the live topics was "GIS in Location Intelligence," which was presented by Mr. Owen A. Lagunday, Sector Management for Education, Research, Science, and Technology. The performance was introduced by Dr. Patricia B. Arinto, president of UP Visayas Tacloban College. The festival's theme is Inspiring the World with GIS. Crisy Tambo is a tool for analysis, examination, and development. A field research is important because it allows us to justify and make a full the information. We can use GIS Coastal Mapping to map rivers and estuaries that empty into the ocean, demarcate zones, monitor mangrove habitats, and assess the state of the coast. And it also emphasized how much less expensive it is to use satellite imagery as a data source. Another important consideration is how we, the GIS experts, can use geospatial data to carry out and visualize the achievement of the sustainable development. By learning how to use this cutting-edge tool for our own research and understanding how it might benefit the communities we all serve, students should become involved with GIS technologies. GIS should be used by more people so that it can become more than just a tool we use and become ingrained in our culture. We can use GIS to track sustainable development and to guarantee that future generations will still have access to the resources they need to survive on this entire world. Resources don't grow at the same rate as the population, so GIS can be used to create communities that are sustainable and have a better future. GIS has captured my interest as I've learned something new. It was a genuine chance for me to think more deeply about the GIS and its primary applications. GIS should be used by more people in order to become ingrained in our culture and go beyond being merely something we use.
