Sub: (i) Design, Construction, Finance, Operation & Maintenance of Km 94.000 (end of proposed Krishnagiri
flyover) to Km 156.000 (Thumbipadi), (ii) Improvement, Operation & Maintenance from Km156.000
(Thumbipadi) to Km 163.400 (Thopurghat), and (iii) Improvement (if required), Operations and Maintenance
from Km 163.400 (Thopurghat) to Km 180.000 (Thumbipadi-Omalur) on NH-7 in the State of Tamil Nadu
(BOT) basis – Package No. NS-2/BOT/TN-01 – Permission for erecting HT Electrical poles along the NH-44
( Seshampatti to Pagalahalli) at the edge of ROW / Utility corridor from Km 148.600 to Km 150.500 (LHS) –
1.9 Km in Dharmapuri District of TN by the Executive Engineer, O&M TANGEDCO, Dharmapuri – Reply
reg.

In reference to the cited subject site inspection was conducted and the observations/comments are provided below:
1. The proposed erection of EB Pole & laying of 11KV line, along the highway from Km 148.600 to 150.500 on
LHS, On LHS side there is an existing pole in Right of Way about 5mts height and proposed EB pole height
is 7.5mts
2. The licensee needs to execute the works as per submitted drawing and should ensure not to have multiple
lines i.e., he needs to place above existing line.
3. Safety precautions need to be taken while laying cables on Approach Road crossing at 150.050
4.  Since, the above-mentioned work does not affect the existing Project assets in said location the permission
may be granted subject to the below mentioned condition:
a) If there are any damages to the existing Project assets during execution and service period/maintenance, it
has to be reinstated at the cost and risk of the Licensee/Concerned Party/Department.
b) The Licensee shall inform/give a notice to the NHAI/Concessionaire at least 15days in advance for
maintenance/repair work and due permission shall be obtained before the commencement of such work.

To ensure the safety of road users, Guard cradle should be provided as per Clause 4.2 of IRC:32 –
“Standard for Vertical and Horizontal Clearances of Overhead Electric Power and Telecommunication Lines
as Related to Roads”, which stipulates as “Guard cradle or screen should be provided for electric power
lines carrying voltage exceeding 110 volts while crossing the highway. The cradle should extend desirably
over the full right-of –way.”
Subject to the above-mentioned terms the permission may be granted to the Licensee.
Further, for your kind information the Project’s OFC Line is running at 28th meter from centre of Median on RHS Side.
