and achievements.
This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been
instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within
them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of
activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

which started a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will
end post a year on 15th August 2023.
Azadi ka amrit mahotsav festival is need of the hour for south india. So many freedom
fighters from south have been ignored or the past govts have failed to honour their
contribution towards the indian freedom struggle.
Through this festival, we can felicitate all our national heroes who were ignored in the
past. The stories of their bravery and valor must be narrated.
A drawing competition can be conducted for kids so that the kids gets awareness
about their great ancestors. A small museum can be built entirely dedicated for a
particular freedom fighter to preserve all the articles, letters, and artefacts used by
them. Palaces or forts of kings and queens who fought against the Britishers should be
renovated which can attract more tourists.
Existing statues of leaders and fighters can be decorated and revamped, and statues of
those ignored can be erected.
Literature competitions like poetry, oratory, essay writing and many more can be
conducted in the regional language or in English to encourage the youth about these
great leaders and freedom fighter.
Some events like the Vellore mutiny, Thirupathur massacre , revolutionary activities
in Tamil Nadu, tinnevely riot of 1908, Buckingham and Carnatic mills strike of 1921,
neil statue sathygraha, and many have been ignored. Even the native tamilians are
unaware these events. Archaeologists and historians can be consulted and these events
must be given due importance in the Indian independence struggle timeline.
