Having the same job for a lifetime is both a challenge and a
boredom. There are people who want to have the same job forever and others who struggle to have a possibility of changing professionally. If we think of those whose job is mainly physical, it’s easy to understand that their career will soon be over, for example ballet dancers, football players, etc. Nevertheless, if we consider those who want to progress in their careers and try to achieve the highest position in an enterprise, it would be easy to perceive that they would keep their job, and, persistently tackle everything and everybody they find in their way, in order to get there. My mother, for instance, had a life-changing opportunity, when she was around forty. She stopped being a secretary from the board of a multinational company and embraced the idea of becoming a teacher. From that moment on, she has been teaching (ranging from kids to adults). Now, almost turning fifty, she’s thinking of applying for a course of clinical psychology in the university, because she feels like helping people in general. According to the above mentioned, we may consider that this matter depends entirely, not only on each one of us, but also, on how our life’s perspective is continuously evolving and having effect on people.
