the child maybe the one person who can restore peace to their troubled land.
One of Angelina Jolie’s iconic role to the big screen, Maleficent a 2014 movie
American dark fantasy adventure film directed by Robert Stromberg from
screenplay by Linda Woolverton.
It’s the untold story of the Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic
film “Sleeping Beauty”. A beautiful, pure hearted young woman who has an idyllic
life growing up in a peaceable forest, until one day when an invading army
threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest
protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal, an act that begins to turn
her pure heart into stones. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with
the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn
infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that aurora holds the key to
peace in the kingdom, and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.
Angelina Jolie have successfully carried out the extravagant acting in order
to push the movie to be great one. Her acting is always stellar, the notion of that
the writers have perfectly developed made a good chemistry in making this a
commendable film. While, on the chosen place to shoot, there's something
magical about the Ashridge estate, a beautiful patch of southern English
countryside less than an hour from central London. It’s unquestionable why
Disney chose it as the location for scenes in Maleficent.
Effects and other technical aspects used were kind of a heavy one, and it
also produces a freaky vibe. However, amazing sets and locations were used
leading the viewers to picture a magical world. Also, the twist is unexpected.
Thoughts and sentiments present in the movie are all worthy to be discussed.
Everything in the film appeared to be natural and most likely it will keep you
hooked as the movie progresses. It also taught us that love can appear not just
romantically but also from family, friends and the likes.
To conclude, it’s a highly recommended film.it made a good point in
telling and giving reflection that shows good people can often follow dark paths
because of trauma beyond their control. It highlights the importance of
forgiveness, the beauty of friendship and relationship. Disney successfully
portrayed the breaking of stigmas of characters being black and white as well as
good or evil. Over all most aspects in the film were really pulled off, it appeared to
be comprehensive and indeed a work of art anyone can enjoy.
