collected hourly, they concluded that the culture increases in number according to the formula
N (t) = 35 × 1.85t where N is the number of bacteria present and t is the number of hours since
the experiment began.

(b) the number of bacteria present after four hours, giving your answer correct to the nearest
whole number of bacteria.
(c) the time it would take for the number of bacteria to exceed 1000.
Due to lack of nutrients, the culture cannot exceed 1000 bacteria.
(d) State the domain of validity of the model.
