The plan establishes a formal relationship with a group of silos that are

situated a few meters away from the plot by establishing a tectonic system of

saw tooth roofs and vierendeel beams whose repetition throughout the facade

enable the character of the building itself. Variations in that approach allow the

various conditions and requirements of the building's interior spaces, such as the

warehouse, individual offices, meeting rooms, and other spaces, to be expressed

in the façade. It is crucial to realize that the materials used in this structure were

chosen because of the extremely low budget under which it was built.

A significant alteration in the tectonic system can be seen in the building's

corner; the direction of the roof has changed to reflect the new relationship with
the side street where the entrance is situated. Otherwise, the street would be

able to view the roof's slope.

Due to the poor conditions of the area at night, a steel lattice work was

suggested to decrease solar radiation and to safeguard the windows from

potential vandalism. By simply covering the Vierendeel beams with a standard

translucent plastic sheet, we were able to observe the warehouse space's natural

lighting quality and confirm the effectiveness of the saw tooth roof.

The inner work area is referred to as a double height ward and is enclosed

by OSB panel walls, which keep the industrial feel while also adding a cozy

ambience for a reasonable price. On the streets of Guadalajara, artisans may be

seen weaving items on demand using a variety of materials, including plastic

threads and numerous natural fibers. We hired a crew of weavers to work with

the railings, filling in the spaces with palm leaves, in order to lend a craftwork

example to the structure.
