This exercise is designed to familiarize the students with the proper technique approach in

window clearing.

Two rounds of ammunition shall be used. It must be done in the following manner:

1. Pointman (no.1) secures the window and clear the right side of the room while no. 2 man

secures no.1 man,

2. No. 2 man crosses the window and positions himself/ herself at the other side and

subsequently clears the left side of the room.

3. No. 1 and no. 2 slowly meet at the center and clear the room.

judgemental firing

The use of pistol on the judgmental firing exercise serves as a back-up weapon only. The assault rifle
shall be used for this drill. Pistol will be used when assault rifle malfunctions. This is applicable to a
hostage- taking situation which requires the students to use the final best option available. Scenarios
shall be arranged by the instructor.
