Materials: Adriafil Soffio Plus natural (41) 11-
12-12 balls, 7 buttons, size 4 ½ knitting needles.
Gauge: 27 sts and 26 rows in Pattern st =
10x10 cm. Take time to check gauge and switch
needles if necessary.
Stitches:
Pattern st: work following chart. Only right side
rows are indicated. In wrong side rows work sts
as they appear.
White square = knit, + = edge st, x = purl,
slip 2 sts to a cable needle, hold in front, P1, K2
from cable needle, = slip 1 st to a cable
needle, hold in back, K2, P1 from cable needle,
= slip 2 sts to a cable needle, hold in front,
K2, K2 from cable needle.
2x2 Ribbing: alternately K2 and P2.

Directions:
Back: Cast on 126-138-150 sts and from now on
repeat the first 2 rows of chart, beginning with A-
B-A, the 1st row is a wrong side row, so you will
be working the 2nd row of chart first, from then
on the 1st and 2nd row. After finishing 5 cm
work the entire chart. When work measures 24
and 42 cm, at both edges decrease 1 st.
Armholes: when work measures 58 cm at both
edges bind off 1x3, 1x2 and 3x1 st, every 2
rows. Neckline shaping: when work measures
76-77-78 cm bind off the center 22 sts and work
each half separately. At neck edge continue
binding off 2x8 sts, every 2 rows. When work
measures 78-79-80 cm bind off shoulder sts.
Right front: Cast on 61-67-73 sts and from now
on repeat the first 2 rows of chart, beginning with
C-D-E. The 1st row is a wrong side row, so you
will be working the 2nd row of chart first, from
then on the 1st and 2nd row. After finishing 5 cm
work the entire chart, beginning with the 19th
row (this is done for pattern shift). At side edge
decrease same as back. Neckline shaping:
when work measures 70-71-72 cm bind off
1x12, 2x3, 2x2 and 3x1 st, every 2 rows.
Shoulder: bind off sts at the same length as
back.
Left front: Work same as right front, reversing all
shaping.
Sleeves: Cast on 58-58-62 sts and from now on
repeat the first 2 rows of chart, beginning with B-
B–F. The 1st row is a wrong side row, so you
will be working the 2nd row of chart first, from
then on the 1st and 2nd row. After finishing 5 cm
work the entire chart. For sleeve width at both
edges increase 15-18-19x1 st, every 6-5-5 rows.
Work the increased sts in Pattern st. Sleeve cap:
when work measures 47 cm at both edges bind
= off 1x3, 1x2, 9x1, 1x2 and 1x3 sts, every 2 rows.
Bind off the rem sts.

 Finishing: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up 109
sts along neck edge and work * K1, P2, repeat
from *. After 5 cm increase as follows: work K2
into each K1. Continue working * K2, P2, repeat
from *. When work measures 30 cm bind off all
sts loosely.
Fold collar in half to the outside and sew side
seams. Pick up 190 sts along right front and
collar and work in 2x2 Ribbing. Make 7
buttonholes along the 5th row: 1 buttonhole 17
cm from lower edge of garment and 1 buttonhole
2 cm from upper edge of collar and the rem
spaced evenly between. Work buttonholes as
follows: bind off 1 st and cast it on again in
following row. Omitting buttonholes work a
second band along left front. Sew in sleeves,
matching center of sleeve and shoulder seam.
 
Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons.
