In the Bedeaux System it is defined the ACTIVITY as a work efficiency measurement of one
operator.
Definition:
Bedeaux method uses a range of 60 to 80 to measure the ACTIVITY (and from this
value the Incentive Pay will be calculated)
An ACTIVITY value equal to 60 is the minimum efficiency value required for an
operator and is associated with the VPR term measured in min/pc (or hr/pc). (In this
situation the incentive pay obtained will be 0 €)
An ACTIVITY value equal to 80 is the optimum efficiency value for an operator and is
associated with the Cycle Time term measured in min/pc (or hr/pc). In Plex this value
corresponds to the IDEAL RATE measured in Pcs/h. (In this situation the incentive pay
obtained will be the maximum available)

The factor “Punto de Prima (€/h)” is a value defined by management and revised periodically;
it has to be modified manually in the PLEX Incentive Report when it changes.
As we can see in the formula it is only paid some money if the ACTIVITY is higher tan 60, but
we do not pay money for an activity higher than 80, so it is important to adjust, when the
incentive is calculated, the ACTIVITY to a maxim value of 80 if this value calculated by the
formula where higher than 80.
There is not a direct equivalence between the ACTIVITY and the line OEE, because in the
calculation of line OEE they are considered 3 factors:
Availability
Performance
Quality
and in the calculation of ACTIVITY it is only considered the performance of one operator.
It could be calculated the performance of one operator from his ACTIVITY be means the
following formula:
