Project title: Elise's workplace transformation

Update on weekly research/task achieved
Points to consider:

From May 14 to Apr 22, the Conception/Initiation phase was carried out in the project life cycle to focus on
solving the difficulties of transforming workplaces when COVID-19 broke out for staff Elise. During this time,
specific goals combined with risk settings were set to provide employees with a productive workspace while
boosting Elise's business. With those particular goals, this phase also surveys employees to learn more about
the difficulties and desires of Elise employees in the working process. Distributing the survey will help the
strategy department develop the most effective plan for this project. All work in this phase was going smoothly,
and on time, Elise's staff cooperated very enthusiastically to complete the initial project.

After the formation phase, from Apr 27 to May 5, the project will enter the Planning phase. Activities in this
phase include: collecting opinions and analyzing data from the survey, designing workplaces, devising
strategies to promote employee engagement, designing time frames for flexible working for employees,
offering employee safety measures during the epidemic, and planning cooperation with stakeholders
(engineering-technology department, technology software company Zoom & Viewsonic, Yoga center), identify
the project team.

During the Execution phase in week 3 (6/5-14/5), I identified essential members involved in the mission,
including The General Director of Elise Luu Nga, Human Resources Director Le Thai Huong, and Chief
Financial Officer Nguyen Huy Hoang, Technical Director Nguyen Van Hung. Each member is responsible for
closely monitoring the project progress to complete the best. To complete the project efficiently, I have
completed a Gantt chart with details of tasks with specific timeframes and attached the person in charge of
monitoring the project.

The set deadlines were wholly met, and the project management plan remained stable and without significant
changes.

Risks and/or issues identified

- I've considered the risk of inexperience in project development: technical department members lack
sufficient knowledge, causing the program to fall behind schedule.
- Financial risk, wrong estimate. Due to the disinfecting operation for Elise company to ensure the safety of
employees going to work at the headquarters, some costs caused the previous estimate to be wrong.
However, the company was able to fix it and not affect the project's progress too much.

Problems encounter:

Barriers to getting survey opinions from Elise staff. However, this only happened when I distributed the survey;
some staff members provided false information. Besides, some employees are afraid and not brave enough to
give their personal opinions to contribute to the project.

The solution that I adopt is to proactively connect with employees to analyze the need in their view for this
project, all aimed at providing the best facilities and workplace for them. Besides, I use effective communication
with Elise so that employees trust them to coordinate, provide and share ideas.

New ideas and changes in project direction


Overall, I don’t need to change my idea to exclude communication with teammates. In my next project, I need
to contact them on my phone rather than contracting them through Facebook messages that take no longer to
respond and some issues cannot be resolved in real-time.

What have you learned about yourself through your work?

I have learned many communication, teamwork, and practical time management skills to reduce
risks during research through this project. This will help me know how to plan each activity to achieve
success in the future. When facing challenges while working on a project, I remain calm and face the
challenge directly to find the fastest and most effective solution. Instead of getting discouraged and
trying to give up, I chose a reasonable solution and performed well in the project. After completing
the project, I again wrote down my good and bad points to remember and learn for myself. Above all,
skills such as leadership, ability to focus and persuade stakeholders are improved when I am
working

Next steps for your work

I would favor primary research as well. Creating a new questionnaire will take a long time and
require clarity to obtain the most accurate data. These tasks need to be completed in a specific time
frame to attain optimal efficiency, such as data collection. Furthermore, I had ample time to complete
the job.

Project plan status to date

Most of my time every day, I review the lecture as directed by the instructor and complete the work on
time. Through the quests I have achieved, my achievements and results are displayed.

Tutor feedback

The citation needs to be correct. The questionnaire was the most challenging item for me to change,
and it took me a long time before I could spend it on the companies. Furthermore, the data I present
is frequently ambiguous and inappropriate for my argument.
