and Its Component. For you to better understand our topic this morning I
have here some basic consumer health terminologies.
The terms below are crucial in the study and acquiring of skills necessary to
become a well- informed and healthy consumer.

Consumer health involves wise decision- making skills and right attitudes
in order to protect oneself fro fraud.
Everyone is a health consumer but not everyone is a wise consumer.
The three components of consumer health are health information, health
products, and health services.
Evaluation
Direction: The following are statements about wise and healthy consumerism.
Write A if you agree with the statement and write D if you disagree. Write
your answers in 1/2 crosswise sheet of paper.
Assignment
Direction: Cut out health information on products and services from old
newspaper, magazines or print from internet sources. Analyze if the
information is deceptive and misleading or if it is reliable and based on
scientific and medical findings. Have a brief discussion in class. Write it in
your health notebook.
