Sentence that represents the main idea of the text.

According to (UNAD, 2022) most of the universities in the UK are part of

the top-ranked institutions in the world for the high quality of its
teaching and research.
Thesis of the text and supporting examples that sustenance this.

United Kingdom is compulsory and free, also, in secondary school,

students choose the subjects, focus creativity, favor research, and
punish plagiarism; this positions educational quality and attracts
students from other countries, helping to maintain quality standards.

Examples

The (Colombian Ministry of Education, 2020) mentions that at age 16,

students take a general knowledge exam known as GCSE (General
Certificate of Secondary Education).

A report written by (El Pais, 2019), describes that some 450,000

foreigners are studying in the United Kingdom; a third of these come
from the European Union and the rest from other countries.

The same report is indicating that each year between 170,000 and
185,000 students end up studying.
Explanation of the meaning of the phrase “Top-ranked”

It is not easy to understand but it would be incredible to be able to

study in the universities of the United Kingdom; the phrase "Top-
ranked" means to be in the best position or position in educational
quality, that is to say that the students have never stopped studying
daily, in addition, they are eager to start the class and they are the first
to arrive at the class.

This explains that quality generates commitment and dedication in

students, increasing the level of demand, efficiency and discipline,
managing to position universities among the best in the world.
Inference from lines 11 and 12 when the text says “Finally, it is
important to hightlight that living in the UK is probably one of the
most multi-cultural experiences one can ever have, and universities
are no exception”.
Comparison between the UK universities with Colombiauniversities.

The universities of Colombia began to be at the forefront, although their

students are not used to the demanding levels; the directors have never
stopped researching on a daily basis and they have an interest in also
projecting the academic community to work repairing the social fabric.

Some universities in Colombia are small but their students feel happy,
those people who never stop working for the future of my country, they
are the pride of Colombian progress.

Our universities have had as a reference the educational development of

other countries, improving quality standards compared to other
universities that occupy the top positions.

We currently have academic entrepreneurship on the part of the

students, they have managed to position some universities in the first
positions, leaving educational quality as a good reference.

Working is my passion and I am training myself to achieve great projects, I

have always been too busy to travel; In the last 12 years I have frequently
worked to find solutions to problems of environmental pollution of air and
water in different Colombian regions.

develop a bioremediation project in areas contaminated by illegal mining; I
supervise the cultivation of plants for planting in affected areas; my favorite

This is a very large company, but I managed to develop environmental

indicators to measure the impact of air pollution in the region, receiving

I had enough experience to make my own decisions and too many tasks
to carry out, but I managed to participate and consolidate a wastewater
treatment plant in the municipality of Ceja Antioquia; minimizing the
impact on pollution by wastewater produced in the urban area.
