NARRATIVE REPORT ON PARENT’S ORIENTATION ON THE

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE
CLASSES
For the past year and eight months, the Department of Education, with its
schools and administrations all over the Philippines have conducted the Flexible
Learning Modalities—Online and Modular—to cater students’ needs and continue
learning even in distant. Education must continue even with the pandemic. For the
past months, with the increasing number of vaccinated residents of Barobo,
Surigao del Sur, including some of our students, the DepEd Surigao del Sur have
decided to push-through the Limited face-to-Face on the resume of classes on
January 3, 2022.

With the thorough brainstorming and collaboration of the Barobo National

High School administration, headed by the School Principal IV, Mrs. Marcela G.
Marticion-Ortega, with its CID Head, Mr. Ariel A. Paler, SGOD Head, Osias S.
Manlucob, Jr., its faculty and staff, BNHS had come to the decision of having the
limited face-to-face classes to abide by the command of the Division of Surigao del
Sur. And so, last December 20, 2021, BNHS had conducted the Parents’
Orientation on the Implementation of the Limited Face-to-Face Classes at the
Barobo Barangay Gymnasium at exactly 8:30 AM.

Parents of Grades 7, 8 and 9 were the attendees of the morning session of

the orientation. The orientation started with the singing of the national anthem and
a prayer via audio-video presentation. A welcome message was given by the Head
Teacher III and the SGOD Department Head, Mr. Osias S. Manlucob, Jr. The
Priming of School Safety and Assessment Tool and HEALTH the followed. Mr.
Ritchie I. Ruta, the School DRR Focal, presented the safety

It was also transpired in the orientation that students must not take for
granted the HG modules and that parents should monitor the students’ progress in
answering the HG modules. It has also been emphasized that the HG indicators will
reflect on their School Form 9 or their cards. Contact number of the class adviser
was provided to the parents for easy and accessible communication. The
orientation has ended through words of encouragement and thanks.
