 Arabian Peninsula:
Wisdom Behind Its Selection For Rising The Last
Prophet
 Introduction:
Why not great seats of civilization India, Mesopotamia, Rome,
Persia, China, Greek, Egypt? Deliberation will unfold the truth.
Comparison between Arabia and the rest of the known world
during 6th century C.E will lead us to the conclusion that
Arabian Peninsula had certain unique characteristics which
were unavailable in other regions as nations.
 Probable reason:
1. Unique Arab Character:
1. Fearlessness (Bravery & courage)
2. Sincerity of commitment to a cause.
3. Hospitality and generosity
4. Simplicity of thought and action
5. Gigantic memory

2. Unity of language
It was Arabian Peninsula also where only one
language was spoken throughout the region India,
china etc were multi-lingual motions. If the last
prophet was to be raised in India he had to be
well-versed in scores of language.

3. Centrality of Arabia
According to research conducted by Dr.
Hasan Kamaluddin, head of the dept. of
civil Engineering, Riyadh University, Arabia
is situated in the center of the world. In
order to light a dark room one single lamp
is to be placed in the center of the room’s
ceiling.

4. Response to the Ibrahim’s prayer
َ‫اب َو ْال ِح ْك َمة‬
َ َ ‫علَ ْي ِه ْم آيَا ِت َك َويُعَ ِلِّ ُم ُه ُم ْال ِكت‬
َ ‫وًل ِ ِّم ْن ُه ْم يَتْلُو‬
‫س ا‬ُ ‫ث ِفي ِه ْم َر‬ ْ َ‫َربَّنَا َوا ْبع‬
)129 :‫يز ْال َح ِكي ُم (البقرة‬ ُ ‫نت ْالعَ ِز‬ َ َ‫َويُزَ ِ ِّكي ِه ْم ۚ ِإنَّ َك أ‬
"Our Lord! send amongst them an Messenger of their
own, who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct
them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them: For
Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” (2:129)
Ibrahim prayed to Allah that a prophet be raised from
among the inhabitants of Arabia. Allah fulfilled his wish
by raising not only a prophet but the last prophet in
Arabia.

َ ‫ار اكا َو ُهداى ِل ْلعَالَ ِم‬
‫ين‬ َ َ‫اس لَلَّ ِذي ِببَ َّكةَ ُمب‬
ِ َّ‫ض َع ِللن‬ ٍ ‫ِإ َّن أ َ َّو َل بَ ْي‬
ِ ‫ت ُو‬
(3:96)
“The first House (of worship) appointed for men
was that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of
guidance for all kinds of beings:” (Ali-’Imran: 3:
96)
The first house of worship deserved to be made
the last and universal peace of worship Allah.
Probable reason:
6. Allah’s promise:
This promise is available in Taorah according to
which a Prophet had to be raised from among
descendents of Ishaque’s brother `Ismail. A
number of prophets were raised from among
Ishaque’s children but none for Ismail’s. The
Quraish belonged to Ismailite line. Prophet
Mohammad was an Ismailite.
This promise of Allah had repeatedly been conveyed
to their respective people Hebrew prophets
including Moses and Jesus.
