2022 NATIONAL SCOUTING MONTH CELEBRATION

1. Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1326, s. 1974, the Boy Scouts of
the Philippines(BSP) and National Office Memorandum No. 61, s.2022 will
celebrate its 86" BSP Charter Anniversary and 2022 National Scouting Month
in October, the purpose of which is to showcase to the public and its
stakeholders the contribution of the BSP to nation-building through the
development of young people by actively engaging and supporting them to
become agents of change in their respective communities hence, the Schools
Division of Catbalogan City through the Curriculum Implementation
Division(ClD)hereby supports the declaration of 2022 National Scouting Month.
2. This year’s theme is “Sustaining Growth”, which specifically aims to:
a. Promote BSP as foremost in developing the young people to become
responsible citizens and leaders in their respective homes and
communities;
b. Celebrate with thanksgiving, sense of pride and belongingness, the
founding anniversary of the BSP;
c. Foster camaraderie among members as brothers and sisters, the
Scouting Way.
3. The highlights of the celebration will include the following activitie:
3.1 86 BSP Charter Anniversary and 2022 National Scouting moth Kick-Off

3.3 Culminating Activities, 31 October 2022
4. Districts and Schools are encouraged to hold activities relevant to the theme
in support of the celebration. To ensure that the activities are achieved, it is vital
that activities be focused on the following areas:
4.1 Environmental Projects and Activities geared towards the attainment of
the World Scouting Environment (e.g. protecting water resources, energy
conservation, planting trees, recycling waste)
4.2 Leadership, Character and Skills Development
4.3 Challenging and Adventurous Activities
4.4 Patriotism and Nationalism Activities
4.5 Community Service and Community Development Projects
4.6 Overnight Camp
4.7 Advancement Camp /Activities
4.8 Sunrise Parade
5. All Scout District Commissioners are enjoined to monitor the activities of their
respective district/schools and are to submit After-Activity Reports, complete
with photos and/or videos, not later than November 10, 2022.
6. Expenses incurred in the conduct of this activity shall be charged against
School MOOE Funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations.
7. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum are
desired.
