Administration (RAN201v2.5)
Registration Process:
• Partners must attend a required pre-registration webinar.
o Five will be offered over a two-week period in late June.
o During pre-registration webinar, attendees will be instructed how to register for the
Academy.
o During the pre-registration webinar, attendees will be provided with information about the
Academy and what is involved
• Register for Academy course.
o From inside the Academy course, register for Academy webinars.
• The Academy runs from late June to mid-August
• For the remaining 4 weeks of the Academy, learners will:
o Attend a weekly 1-hour webinar in which the instructor reviews the week’s assignment.
o Complete the quiz of last week’s assignment.
• Review “next week’s” content.

Academy Schedule:
• Pre-registration webinars will be late June.
• The Academy starts the second week of July and ends the second week of August

Academy pre-requisites:
• Basic understanding on Kubernetes objects and resources would be beneficial. Having
some Linux command line experience is helpful.

What is the SUSE RAN201 Partner Academy?

• A no-cost alternative to classroom training on the Rancher 2.5 Administration course (Course
RAN201v2.5).
• A flexible 4-week learning period versus 2 days of classroom training.
• A mix of self-directed learning each week plus a weekly 1-hour webinar with our instructor to
review your understanding of each weekly assignment in the RAN201 Partner Academy.
• Prescribed weekly assignments requiring 5-10 hours of self-study each week, depending on your
prior Linux and/or UNIX knowledge.
• Assignment “bundles” made of course reading and lab assignments accessed online in the
Academy section of the SUSE Partner Portal.
Please note: This course supports the SCA in SUSE Rancher 2.5 certification exam.

What is required?
• A login account to the SUSE Partner Portal (https://partner.suse.com/).
• Availability to study in June, July, and August 2021.
• A work/personal schedule that allows you 5-10 hours per week to self-study the course
assignments plus 1 hour per week to attend a webinar review of the weekly assignment.
• A laptop/computer with a Broadband Internet connection for connecting to the On-Demand
course and launching the live labs in the system and for connecting to the weekly webinar
sessions. (Mobile devices can be used to connect to the webinars as well).
• We strongly recommend using Chrome as your Internet browser for a smooth training
experience.
• Whitelisted domains in your email client so you receive critical Academy-related information:
