Introduction
Brain Priming on the go!

TechPixies is a company that helps women return to work after a career

break, change careers or start a business leveraging technology.

Neurocoaching is an important part of the learning process offered at

TechPixies. In particular, Brain Priming, helps women to quash those
automatic negative thoughts and give them tools to succeed.

We have a significant number of women who have been through our

programme who have used brain priming. However, whilst using the
neurocoaching, customers find it difficult to complete because
everything they need is not in the same place and they need to access
the different functions using an external calendar, recording facility,
learning materials, reminders, etc. This is the problem that we’re trying
to solve.

4
Project Description

The app is a way to bring all the neurocoaching

learning together. Firstly the app takes you
through your experience of finding out what
needs to be addressed

The four main flows in the app are Recognise,

Refute, Reframe, Record.

All are accessible through the one app.

User Interviews
User Interviews

I interviewed members of the TechPixie

community who are already paying members of
our programme. Therefore they will also be the
users.

I asked them questions such as what external

programmes did they download to help them
through the programme.

What made them lose motivation (if applicable)

What functions they’d like to see

Research

1 When did you join us? Have you completed the course?

2. How many neurocoaching sessions have you attended so far? ...and have you completed a Brain Prime?

3. Can you tell me about your Brain Prime Experience so far?

4.Did you experience any barriers to accessing the learning materials?

5. Do you understand the brain prime process? Is there anything you are unsure of, please explain?

6.How do you access the sessions?

7.How do you record your brain prime audio?

8. How do you keep track of your progress?

9. How successful do you feel it has been? Have you experienced any changes?

10. How could you improve your current brain prime routine?

User Interviews - Insights

I mostly learnt that people were using different

functions of their iphones, or various apps to try
and keep them motivated and on track, but
many found they were unable to keep on with
the programme, therefore lost momentum

Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes

I learnt about the design process. Firstly to empathise with users, define pain points and to identify my
customer avatar. We covered the basics of UX research, like planning research studies, conducting interviews
and usability studies.

Next we learnt to build out the app by creating user flows, wireframes and prototypes, test and iterate on
designs

Lastly we learnt how to adapt our designs through user-centered design, accessibility, and testing.

● I would progress by acting on the feedback given, such as to create more unity between the colours on
different screens. I would work on changing some of the copy within the app. I would add further
achievements. Also a settings and privacy page.
