After you watch:

4. Like Lincoln and his classmates, students have to take care of an egg in pairs for
one week. You can give them another object to represent the egg. Assign
students to pairs or ask them to choose their partners. You can also have them
imagine the activity.

Each pair must agree on the following decisions:

a) Choose a name for the egg.
b) The days of the week each student will be responsible for the egg. (For
example: student A on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; Student B on
Tuesday, Thursday, and the weekend).
c) How to carry the egg. (For example: in a basket, in their hands, in an egg
carton…).
d) What school activities the egg can participate in. (For example: go to a
regular class, go to the gym, play sports, go to the cafeteria/food stand,
eat lunch…).
e) After a week, ask students to write a short paragraph about the project.
(how they felt during the week, if it was fun, etc.) Encourage students to
share with the class.
