Many disagree about the appropriate age for children and young adults to use social
media.

You will get many disagreements if you prohibit social media for particular age groups.
From their point of view, for a young child, social media is a good choice. Social media have
positively influenced mental and educational development. A person's age cannot be used as a
basis for discrimination or limitation. Having grown up without social media, it's difficult to
handle multiple things. Social media has a significant impact on teen culture today. 19 per cent
of teens use social media between the ages of 17 and 13. In addition to visiting social media sites
at least once a day, 75% of users have at least one active profile on social media. More than two-
thirds of teens have an internet approach through their mobile devices. One of the surveys
estimated that teens spend almost eight hours online daily, not including the time they spend on
homework (Bower).
Teens can develop social media management skills with support and education. Using
social media responsibly can be taught in various ways for your child. You are contacting
friends, staying in touch, getting to know new friends with similar interests and participating in
specific activities with support and community. Music interest and sharing of artwork with
internet friends. You are making friends and enhancing socialising. Ensure your child
understands your family's social media policies, including consequences for too much or
inappropriate use, and whether you will monitor their online activities.
Several counterclaims argue that the internet can be just as dangerous for an adolescent's
mind as the throughfares of a crime-ridden city. There is no doubt that social media is dangerous,
but their dangers have increased since the MySpace era. In light of the latest social media-
increasing trends and multiple attractions of these platforms, parents should limit their kids'
access to social media until they are at least 15 years old. National Library of Medicine research
suggests that Tik Tok may cause confident kids to develop tics due to social media use.
Regardless of its benefits, social media has always been dangerous (Bower). In most cases, users
of social media apps must be at least 13 years old to avoid being exposed to adult content

being connected with potentially dangerous strangers, encountering other threats and
viewing pornographic content,.
