ACHIEVING THEM?
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by
all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared Members of the United Nations

and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions,
according to national definitions" . To achieve this it has 7 goals
or targets.

The way in which poverty is currently measured to be able to see


how serious the situation is and to be able to set the objectives
is with the "World Bank", where the international poverty line is
used as a parameter. According to the MPPN, Another way to
calculate the poverty rate is "by adding the proportion of total
poverty suffered by each poor person and dividing it by the total
number of poor people".

rural areas is 17.2 per cent—more than three times higher
than in urban areas.

SDG 1: Between 657 and 676 million people are currently


projected to live in extreme poverty in 2022, compared to
the pre-pandemic projection of 581 million.
