This course will improve participants' knowledge of various renewable technologies, with a
particular focus on solar. It will explore how renewables can contribute to Indonesia's energy
needs and climate change reduction targets. The course will also promote greater bilateral
Australia Awards Short Course engagement with Australian businesses.
To achieve these outcomes, the course will apply a range of learning methodologies including
classroom sessions; case studies; site visits; discussion and planning sessions; simulations and
role plays; networking events; and an in-depth individual or a small group project (Award Project).
The Award Project model is used across all Australia Awards in Indonesia’s Short Courses. The
course participants present the project plan at the pre-course workshop, further develop the
project during the course in Australia and present the implemented project (rationale, objectives,
steps, challenges, outcomes and next steps) at the post-course workshop.
The course will be delivered over a 2-week period in Australia in March 2023. A pre-course
workshop will be held in Indonesia in February 2023. A post-course workshop will be held in
Indonesia June 2023, or approximately three months after the completion of the in-Australia
course.
