Electric Vehicles for Sustainable Transport Solutions Short Course. This course aims to
showcase Australian policies, expertise and initiatives related to transitioning from Internal
Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles to EVs. The course will provide participants with
knowledge of best-practice policies and regulations to support this and how these policies
can be practically employed in Indonesia to support its EV aspirations.
The course will focus on policy areas that are front of mind for Indonesian policymakers on
EV issues, such as:
• energy supply technology
Australia Awards Short Course • EV precinct infrastructure (charging infrastructure), and
• EV fleet and maintenance
Accelerating the Transition to Electric The course includes a 2-week course in Australia and two workshops in Indonesia. The
course is offered to 25 participants, and it is targeted to Government of Indonesia
Vehicles for Sustainable Transport representatives from the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment, Ministry of
National Development Planning (BAPPENAS), Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport,
Solutions Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Industry, Chamber of Commerce
(KADIN), PT PLN (Persero), Local and Provincial Governments, Academia and relevant
private sector.

This is a fully funded short course. Course fees, mobilisation costs, return airfares (domestic
and international), insurance in Australia (OSHC), accommodation (in Indonesia and
Australia), per diem, transport allowance and visa will be covered by Australia Awards in
Indonesia.

• Short course in Australia on 22 April - 3 May 2024 (depart 19 April, return 5 May 2024)
• Post-course workshop in Indonesia on 30 Jul – 1 August 2024

Applicants are expected to have professional working proficiency in English. The applicants’
English language competency is part of the selection process. The language competency
assessment is based on a phone interview and any additional evidence provided by the applicant
(proof of studies or living in an English-speaking country, working in an English-speaking
environment, completion of studies in English, language courses or language tests). The course
will be delivered in English.
