AMOTM21-002 – Handling damage on engine external oil pressure and scavenge
Subject:
tubes

Dear Engineers, Technicians and Aircraft Stores Personnel,

It has come to our attention that some of the external oil pressure and scavenge tubes returned by TMA to
PTB are being dented or damaged. Being expensive parts, replacement of the same parts incurs huge cost
to PTB. According to PTB, such parts are rarely replaced during the life cycle of an engine.

We have noticed that these components get damaged mostly during engine removal and installation.

As such, kindly keep the points mentioned above in mind while handling all engine components including
external oil pressure and scavenge tubes in the future. Also please note that we shall be monitoring this
issue. Repeat offenders shall be identified and disciplinary action shall be taken if necessary.

As such, kindly ensure that the procedures mentioned above are followed without fail in the future.

Thank you,

Technical Services
