 ABSTRACT

As the name specifies “EZDOC – Advancement in medicare system ” is a website developed for
managing various activities in the Hospital. For the past few years, the number of diseases and their
patients are increasing rapidly. Thereby the number of medical hospitals is also increasing for
providing better treatment and medical guidance to the patients. And hence there is a lot of strain
on the person, who are running the hospitals, and software’s, are not usually used in this context.
This particular Project deals with the problems on managing hospitals and avoids the problems
which occur when carried manually.

Identification of the drawbacks of the existing system leads to the designing of computerized
system that will be compatible to the existing system with the system which is more user friendly
and more GUI oriented. We can improve the efficiency of the system, thus overcame the
drawbacks of the existing system.

INTRODUCTION:

This project is an effort to develop a platform where the users of this portal say doctors, patients
and the administrator can communicate effectively. The doctors and the patients can easily
register themselves into this portal and can effectively utilise it. The patients can easily get an
appointment according to their situation and he has not to wait in the queue, as it was there in the
existing system. It provides patients to directly search the doctors in his city and can ask the health
or other related queries to him / her.

The main aim of this portal is to bridge a gap between the doctors and the patients. Since the
existing system was purely based on manual working so there were a lot of problems. By the use
of this portal the patients can interact very easily with the doctors as it provides an online
discussion board between them. The application is reduced as much as possible to avoid errors
while entering the data. No formal knowledge is needed for the user to use this system. This portal
completely removes the any type of partiality between the patients in appointment booking as it
does not discriminate people according to their caste and religion. This system gives the fast
service to the users without any delay.

The users can give their feedback and can also put their complain if any, related to this web portal
or to some other user. An unregistered user can also put an enquiry related to any issue. All these
functionalities and enquiries are managed and handled by the administrator. The administrator will
also provide the notifications to the user related to the functions and the events which will be
happening in the near future. Thus, this web portal is a time saving, secured portal by providing a
common platform to various users by registering them online and use various features by just
having an internet connection.
 Scope

The scope of this portal is very broad in terms of manually working system. In a very short time the
collection of data will be obvious, simple, and sensible.

Few of them are:-

⮚ The collection procedure will go on smoothly.
⮚ It is easy to understand by the user and the operator.
⮚ In computer system, it is not necessary to create the manifest but we can directly print it,
which saves our time.
⮚ It satisfy the user requirement.
⮚ It has a good user interface thus user friendly.
⮚ It is easily expandable.

Objective of Project
We used a combination of surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews to gather information
from patients, doctor, and from other medical staffs. After gathering requirements we have decided
the following aims and objectives of this portal.

1) To provide anytime/ Anywhere Online Registration.

2) All information /knowledge sharing to patients.
3) To provide Doctors timing, address for patients.
4) To provide the Doctors fee.
5) Easy for patients to use and customize.
6) Event Notification to Patients.
7) Facility to check all activities /Information of the registered patients and doctors.
8) Easily accessible from any corner of the world if you have internet connection.
9) To provide online discussion board, between all registered patients and doctors.
10) To provide an easy Appointment Booking.
11) Quick and Fast access to the database.
