Task 2
1. How do strategic marketing and tactical complement each other in achieving
company goals and objectives?
 Strategic marketing and tactical marketing complement each other in achieving
company goals and objectives. Essentially, strategic marketing is the concept while
tactical marketing is the action. Strategic marketing directs marketing tactics with
the company’s short and long term goals in mind. Tactical marketing brings
strategies to life with attention to detail and measurement. They work differently,
but together, they help achieve each other goals.

2. How are strategic marketing and tactical marketing different in terms of


achievement of objectives?
 Strategic marketing is all about the direction taken to meet a goal. It is all about the
thinking process. Tactical marketing, on the other hand, are specific activities and
action undertaken to complete the strategy. In other words, the difference between
marketing strategy and tactics is that the former pertains to plans, while the tactics is
all about the activities that bring the plan to action.

Task 3
o As a marketer, which of the 2 will be given more emphasize, strategies or
tactics? Why?
As a marketer, I should place a greater focus on strategies. Because a strategy is all
about choices, you must consider many methods for marketing your items. Your
decisions should take into account who your target market is, what they require in
their everyday lives, and how to attract them to your marketing approach. And, of
course, if you've been using the same technique for a long time, your other options
may replace it or push you to build new ones in order to adjust to the current
changes. While Tactics on the other hand is important but not as important as
strategies. But both pursuits are dependent on each other. Without a marketing
strategy, you won’t have an objective to work on. Without tactics, you won’t be able
to do the campaigns that allow you to meet your objectives. Businesses need both
strategic and tactical marketing in order to succeed.
Task 4
Think of three popular brands. What could be the reasons why did they became
popular? What could their strategies be? There tactics?

 Samsung has been a powerful brand that transforms from rags to riches. It was
originally a small grocery store that became a multinational conglomerate. Their
popularity boils down on their marketing strategy as well that lets them face their
top competitor, Apple. Their marketing strategy focuses on being a global inspiration
and having a global presence, bringing technological innovation, and improvement
of lives and social prosperity.

 Samsung's marketing strategy is centered on the creation of new, creative goods


that are promoted by powerful advertising and product promotion. When Samsung
releases a new phone with cutting-edge software, the company uses the price-
cutting strategy. Recognizing that cutting-edge innovation does not ensure success in
the market, Samsung also prioritized brand design and development. Samsung offers
to a larger phone and tablet market with a marketing plan centered on product
diversification. Through an online presence, the corporation attempts to create and
maintain a relationship with consumers via social media. Their objective was to
develop items that provide advantages that at least some customers will perceive to
be worthwhile.

 With these strategies, they developed several tactics to cope with it. Firstly, they
have advertisement and promotion that has an element of value of empowering of
humanity. They advertised it as not limited as a symbol for status, but rather their
product is designed to inspire and give value to people's lives. They also used social
platforms to connect with customers and have a wider audience. Aside from that,
they hire or tied up with celebrities that is famous in that country to gather audience
in a certain country. They also used their competitors to their advantage, by boldly
including their rivals on their ad campaign, which became globally known in the tech
market. Secondly, they bring technological innovation in the market by having many
variety of gadgets, appliances, and such that is new or better than the other
competitors. They have really brought many technological innovations that makes
customer have an interest on their product, and eventually becomes an enthusiast.
Thirdly, they improve the lives of society through their corporate social
responsibility.
