Essay Holiday
School holiday was finally coming. However, I didn’t go anywhere this
holiday because we’re still on the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, the government
urged public to not go out of the home to minimize the spread of COVID-19 virus.
So, I spent my holiday this time fully at home.. My family and I planned to go on
vacation to Grandma's house, but because a cousin wanted to go on vacation to my
house, we had to cancel our intention to go on vacation to Grandma's house, at first I
thought that vacationing at home would be very boring, but it didn't.

I am very amazed by the situation there because the scenery is very beautiful
and cool, the conditions in the mountainous area of my grandmother's house are very
shady, many trees are still alive and there are also many birds chirping in the area of
my grandmother and grandfather's house, in the morning there the air is very cold and
cold until I didn't dare to take a shower because the water was very cold.

There are many things we can do to fill our vacation time… The first day of
vacation is very boring. So, mother invited us to clean the house. I also cleaned my
room, finding many favorite items that I thought were missing.

On the second day of vacation, my father took us to paint the house, from
inside to outside, including the fence. My father allowed me to paint my own room, I
am very happy because I can decorate the room in my favorite color. I changed the
color of the room from blue to pink combined with white.

We spent 3 days painting the interior and exterior of the house. Very tiring
activity, but fun. The fifth day of our vacation did not do much activity. We just
watch TV, play games, and occasionally help mom cook and wash dishes in the
kitchen.
 On the sixth day, my cousin and I cycled through the housing complex. It's fun
to ride a bicycle, I didn't expect it to be 05.30 in the afternoon. So my cousin and I
decided to go home and take a shower. In the evenings, my cousin and I would spend
time watching television talking about life at each other's schools.

The next day I was invited to pick fruit by my grandmother, we picked

mangoes and guavas, in the garden behind my house I was very cheerful playing, after
it was late afternoon when I went back to my grandmother's house I didn't feel the
holiday was going to end.

Last day of vacation, we didn't do much. We prepared the tools for the first
day of school, then we drove my cousin to the train station in the afternoon, that's the
short story of my vacation at home. This holiday was a very fun vacation and it was
very difficult to forget, I was very happy to go to my grandmother's house because if I
went there on vacation only.
