BADMINTON

I. ON ENTRY PLAYERS
a. There shall be 8 players for each delegation/team, 4 players for the men’s
category and 4 players for the women’s category.

b. The coaches should designate their players into the following category.
b.1 Single
b.2 Doubles
b.3 Single

c. Players designated by their team coach in their respective categories must


only play for that category in the entire tournament. No switch or change
of category is allowed after the tournament has commenced.
II – ON SCORING SYSTEM AND TOURNAMENT MECHANICS
a. Eliminations: Modified 1 straight to 35 rally points. Change
ends at 17 points
b. Semi-finals and finals: 1 to 21 rally points. Best of 3 games.
Lead by 2 at 20-all to a maximum of 30 points. Final game
is 1 to 11 rally point, change ends at 6 points, if 10-all to a
maximum of 21 points.
c. Game mode will be by Team Category
d. Inside court rulings will follow the standards badminton rules set by the
IBF (International Badminton Federation)
e. Team coaches should personally record the scores of their players so as
to ensure transparency and fairness during the tournament.
III – DEFAULTING TIME
a. There will be no definite time schedule of games. Continuous match shall
be followed. Player must always be ready. Team coaches will be given copies of
games schedule. They shall see to it that their players can be easily called all the
time.
b. There will be a defaulting time of 15 minutes.
IV – ON UNIFORMS
a. Player must always wear their official team uniforms in every match. A
player’s uniform must be distinctly different from that of their opponent.
b. No sandals or open footwear shall be worn. Players must always wear
appropriate footwear. No shoes, no uniforms, no game rule applies.
V- ON PROTEST
a. Any protest shall be by black and white and addressed to the tournament
manager, duly signed by the team coach and properly endorsed by the
respective sports directors and delegations’ heads.
b. Protests shall be submitted to the tournament manager within 12 hours
after the match in question.
VI – ON EMERGENCIES
In case of emergencies, the tournament manager or any tournament official shall
not be liable for any untoward incident which may happen to an athlete in the
course of competition, if utmost prevention and care has been taken
