1. What do you know about the retail business in Indonesia?

Indonesia's retail landscape is undergoing profound change as modern outlets increasingly replace
wet markets and independent small shops. High consumer confidence, an expanding middle class and
rising personal incomes have made private consumption the most important component of
Indonesia's economy and attracted numerous global retailers.
The spread of modern retail into the regions, on the other hand, should see the food and beverage
segment reap most of the gain initially. This is because living standards in the secondary cities still lag
far behind those in the urban centres, and lower-income consumers tend to spend a larger portion of
their earnings on groceries. Its very obvious that retail industry is growing in Indonesia, namely,
indomart, alfamart, tranSMART and any other retail business. The place even not bothering these
retail company to build store between one another.

2. What is/are your favourite retail outlet(s)? Why?

I don’t think I have any favourite retail outlet, as long as I received convenient I’ll go to that outlet.
And in Indonesia I think the largest and spread in all area is indomart and alfamart.

1. retail business improved a lot in the recent years, a lot of modern technology is come into
this business. From the payment to the place that nowadays is more digitalized, we are not
have to go to the place to go shopping. And the payment also much varies in this modern
world. The changes even more obvious in the pandemic. The physical distancing and all
health protocol make sverything changes for the best.
2. The reason of thise changes is maybe the technology that we should follow. And the trend
also influenced by many reason so it changed the retail busness works.
3. I think the changes is for better and easier for the customer, so I have positive feeling
regarding this issues.
