Water: A Good Servant but a Bad

Master
“Water is a good servant but a bad master,” this is an old English saying (maybe).
What does it mean? You will find out when you read the following paragraphs.

A long time ago, people didn't know there were many ways to use water. They just knew about
bathing, drinking and firming with water. One day, their house was on fire and they didn't know
how to stop the fire. So then a house was burnt by the fire. Next time a house was burnt and
suddenly it started raining. The people were surprised because the fire was stopped by the rain.
So they found out that water could stop the fire. They knew that fire was extinguished with
water. Nowadays people know that we can stop the fire in many ways. In a good way, water is a
good servant for us.

To start, we all use water for drinking, washing, cleaning, cooking, maritime
communications and growing food making it our most precious resource for survival.
What adds to that daily household water use, is that even more water is used by
industry to generate electricity, manufacture products, and transport people and goods.
We also need water for agriculture.

All of the water that we use comes from local lakes, rivers, streams or underground
aquifers, depending on your city and state. How we use water depends on the purpose
at hand.We keep meat and fish with ice.

Water is also used in steel, paper, chemical, and petroleum industries as well. Many
parks and publicly maintained lawns and stadiums use self-serve water facilities. Even
livestock needs water to produce milk and eggs. Water is also supplied to commercial
centers such as theaters, restaurants, shopping malls, etc.

When we drink too much water,we may experience water poisoning, intoxication, or a
disruption of brain function.A flood can destroy countless homes, tsunamis are much
worse. When It rains heavily and floats, many people become homeless and many
things are destroyed. An electric shock makes a lot of people die in the rainy
season.Fresh and energized water is most important for our health but intoxicated water
is the opposite, it can poison our body and can cause death.
Overdrinking water isn’t good for our health. If we drink too much water, we will be full
and we won’t be able to eat our healthy meals. Unclean water can contain toxic
materials that can harm the human body .When water floats, it destroys our natives'
houses and farms. Then people become homeless and poor.Sometimes , there are
heavy rains in the rainy season and it causes people to get ill easily because of cold
weather. An electric shock can kill people during the rainy season. There are also
tsunamis and they may cause many people’s deaths.

Every single year, millions of vicitinities or serious injuries can be seen due to the harmful
impacts of water damages. Thus, it is a must to know some strategies in order to help someone
who is hurt by water.
The first condition which is thought to be considered is while happening on the beach or at the
pool. If someone is unconscious or not breathing due to the effects of drowning, place them in
the suitable position, start the CPR straight away and keep them under observation to ensure
not to obstruct their airway before calling the ambulance.

Injury
Apply and maintain the pressure to the wound with your gloves and use the alcohol pad or a
dressing to bandage the wound firmly.

Flood
Flooding is the temporary release of water onto land that is normally dry. Entering flood waters
can lead to injury or death. The duration of floods can last from several hours to months at a
time. There are four general types of flooding: river , coastal , urban and flash floods.Common
warning signs include intense rainfall For those conditions, we can help them through social
media by sharing it to the rest of the globe, make donations of money, instant foods, clothes and
the rest of necessary stuff. Last but not least, we can volunteer to rescue and give them shelter.
