In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 11(3) of the Code of Criminal

Procedure, 1973 (No. 2 of 1974), the Hon'ble Chief Justice and Hon’ble Judges are

pleased to confer the powers of Judicial Magistrate of the First Class on the following

Civil Judges Junior Division and post them at the place mentioned against their names

with effect from the date they assume charge of the post.

Joining Instructions for Induction Batch of Civil Judge Junior Division and J.M.RC.

Reporting Date & Time at the Academy : 9.12.2022 before 7.00 pm


Date of commencement of Training : 10.12.2022.
i. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
i. Tfie Trainee Judges are directed to produce vaccination certificate of Covid-19, at
the time of joining.
li. The Trainee Judges may be required to undergo Antigen test for Covid-19
immediately on arrival at the Academy. They shall follow social distancing and
sanitization etc.
iii. TYainee Judges may be kept in isolation for a short period, if required.
2. GENERAL INFORMATION:-

> Just about 20 kms off the Western Express Highway from Kashimira Police Station
point.
> Nearest railway station is Bhayander (W) on western railway line.
> IxKal buses (Bus Nos. 3 & 4) are available at the interval of about 30 minutes from

Bhayander railway station to Academy. (Trainee Judges can board the said bus from
Bhayander West).
> For S.T. and private buses coming from other parts of Maharashtra, Borivali is
the last stop from where local trains are available. Trainee Judges travellers
of local trains can get down at Bhayander (W). The Academy is situate at a
distance of about 14 kms. from Bhayander railway station.
> Other means of transport - Auto rickshaws.

> Trainee Judges must follow Covid-19 appropriate behaviour during the travel.

3. REPORTING DATE AND TIME :
The Trainee Judges shall report at the Maharashtra Judicial . Academy on
9.12.2022 before 7.00-PriL

4, PROGRAMME SCHEDULE :
The Phase~I Induction Training will start from 10.12.2022 at the Maharashtra Judicial
Academy. The Sessions will be from 09:30 am to 04:30 pm with two tea breaks and a
lunch break in between the sessions, every day.
5. LODGING ARRANGEMENT:
Lodging arrangements have been made at the Guest House of the Academy.
6. FOOD, MEDICINES ETC.
i. The Academy provides food which is served in the Cafeteria of the Academy.
ii. If any Traipee Judge desires any specific type of food due to diet restrictions/
religious reasons, he/she may inform the Academy in writing.
iii. The Trainee Judges shall carry sufficient stock of their required medicines along
with prescription. They may carry the requisite medicine if they have any allergy.
' If any TVainee Judge is taking regular medical treatment for any ailment, he/she
should inform the Academy in writing.
7. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
(Subject to the norms related to Covid-19 and SOP by the Government)
i. There are facilities in the Academy for recreation and extra-curricular activities.
ii. There is a Music room available in the Academy.
8. YOGA:
Academy conducts morning YOGA sessions which are mandatory during training.
A yoga teacher will conduct the classes. Trainee Judges shall bring their own track
suits, sports/jogging shoes. Yoga mats shaU be provided by the Academy.
9. DRESS CODE:
The dress code prescribed for Trainee Judges participating in the training programrfe
at the Academy is as follows;
L Male Judicial Officer shaU wear white shirt and white trouser with black/MJA
necktie, black Coat and black pair of formal shoes.
ii. Female Judicial Officer shall wear white saree (with small print in light shade, if
desired) white collared blouse or white salwar kameez, black Goat and black
footwear and MJA scarf.
iii. Ibainee Judges would also be required to bring a black coat, White Bands, Black
Gown and an extra sober coloured Blazer.
iv. Academy neckties and scarves are available at Administrative office of the
Academy on payment of due charges.
10. REQUIREMENTS:
i. The Trainee Judges have to bring Two Sets of photocopies of all the original
Certificates/Testimonials, produced while filling the Form with Maharashtra
Public Service Commission, with the original thereof.

ii. The Tfainee Judges are direct^ to bring at least two rims of A4 size paper and
two Note-books (full-scape size) and requisite number of pens, pencils etc.
Hi. The TVainee Judges are required to carry 10 to 12 Passport size photographs.
> The Trainee Judges may carry their own laptop (if any) and pen drive with
them.
> The lYainee Judges shall carry their own updated Bare Acts i.e. C.PC., Cr. EC.,
Limitation Act, Specific Relief Act, Domestic Violence Act, Negotiable
Instruments Act, Transfer of Property Act, Evidence Act, I.BC. etc.
> The lYainee Judges shall bring their own soaps, shampoo etc. and any other
personal required articles.
> The Trainee Judges are allowed to bring foldable mosquito nets (the ones that
do not require to be tied or nailed to a wall etc) for bed size 3 ft. x 6 ft.
approx.
11. LIBRARY FACILITY: ‘
i. The Library will remain open from 9.00 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. during the training
•« programme.

ii. The Trainee Judges are expected to maintain discipline in library and ensure that
there is no disturbance to others.
12; COMPUTER & INTERNET FACILITY:
i. Internet facilities are available at Academy Guest House in all rooms and there is
a separate Computer Lab in Admin Building and also in Guest House Libraiy
ii. Internet facility shall be utilized only for academic purpose.
13. MOBILE PHONES:
Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the corridors, classrooms, conference
hall, library and during Yoga classes.
PROHIBmON_ON POSSESSION AND / OR CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL,
TOBACCO, ETC.:
i. Possession and / or consumption of Alcohol, tobacco etc. in Academy premises is
strictly prohibited.
ii. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the Academy premises.
15. DISCIPLINE:
i, lYainee Judges should maintain decorum, decency and highest sta&ards of
behaviour and discipline, inside and outside the Academy.
ii. TVainee Judges are expected to strictly observe the instructions of the training
institute and conduct themselves properly. They must be courteous in dealing
with the faculty, their colleagues and the members of the staff in the Academy.
They shall not do anything which may disturb others in the Academy.

Hi. The conduct of TYainee Judges should always be befitting a judicial officer inside
as well as outside the campus.
iv. The TYainee Judges must maintain standard of personal hygiene and social
behaviour. They are expected to be properly dressed and shall be punctual.
16. SAVING OF WATER AND ELECTRICITY:
The Trainee Judges shall ensure, that the water taps of the rooms are properly closed.
If there is any leakage, they have to inform the concerned immediately. They shall
also ensure that all the electric switches and AC. are switched off before leaving the
room even for a short time and co-operate in saving electricity and water.

17. GLEANING:
The Trainee Judges shall keep the rooms, open spaces, classrooms and premises clean
and co-operate in maintaining cleanliness.
18. MEDICAL FAClirriES:
In case any medical assistance is required, the Deputy Director/ AssUta,atJDi£££tor
may be contacted.
19. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :
> Trainee Judges are required to pay one time Registration Fee of Rs. 1000/-
and Rs. 400/- for Tie / Scarf, respectively. Trainee Judges are instructed to
make necessary financial arrangements accordingly.
> TYai-ne^ Judges are required to bear expenses towards photocopying, laundry
etc. '
> Axis Bank ATM is available near the main entrance of the Academy.
> Trainee Judges may bring their Cheque book & ATM / Credit Card.
> Trainee Judges shall take care of their valuables, if any, and their mobiles etc.
The Academy shall not be responsible for any loss.
• > Guest House gate of the Academy closes at 10.00 pm. The Trainee Judges
have to follow this time scrupulously.

> No Trainee Judge shall be allowed to leave the Academy premises during
training without prior permission.
> No visitors may be allowed in the Academy premises to meet the TYainee
Judges during training.
> Trainee Judges should be careful to ensure that no property of the Academy
such as furniture, tree, plants or lawn is damaged.
20. BABY SITTING :
> Lady Judicial Officers who intend to bring their Infants/toddlers may contact
Deputy Director, whose number is given below. A room has been made
available at the Academy for such Lady Judicial Officers with facilities of Tri­
cycle, pram CBabagadf), other toys and a kitchen. They may bring along a/
lady attendant whose food charges and the food charges for the baby will
have to be borne by the Lady Judicial Officer on actual basis.
