Section A: Comprehension

1. What is the passage about?


It is proposed that taxes on unhealthy food and soft drinks ,subsidize the purchase of
staple foods

2. How can having a healthy diet solve the health care issue?

If we have healthy diet,We can have a balanced food, stay away from unhealthy foods,

and reduce the occurrence of diseases.

3. List down THREE types of foods that are considered as ‘profitable’ in America?
• soda
• French fries
• doughnuts

4. Why should the government subsidise healthy foods? (to make healthy foods more
affordable and widely available).
This is urgent for economic sanity as well as national health.
